Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada 4.3 Liter (CPI – Central Port Fuel Injection) with 200 hp, 260 lb. ft. of torque. As with all Bravadas it is loaded with options including leather, power windows & locks, cruise, tilt, A/C, power mirrors, keyless entry, driving lights, tinted glass, rear defrost, ABS brakes, and Smart Trak traction system. My parents have owned this since 2002 and it has been an exceptional vehicle for them. There are currently 285k miles on it and it shows no signs of letting up soon. The Bravada still starts right up every time, does not smoke or exhibit any knocks or ticks, it idles as it should and besides minor seepage from age does not leak (oil, ATF, coolant, etc.). The front fenders are clearly shot; they are rusting around the fender flares. Also, the two front doors are rusting on the insides of the bottom, and as you can see there is some rocker rust starting on passenger front side. The frame has surface rust only, no structural rust and the floor has no rust at all. The body is complete with all trim and emblems accounted for. All body cladding is present and in good shape. The driving lights have rusted and are not recoverable. It has a class 3 hitch but not sure if trailer wiring connector still works (have not tried it in many years). To our knowledge the vehicle has never been in an accident (and certainly not since 02’ when it was last purchased). Items that do not work include: The A/C is not cold, the driver’s side power window motor is on its way out (window works but very slow), keyless entry is not working (likely dead battery in key fob), the dash lights are not working, rear window lifts no longer hold up window, ash tray is missing, rearview mirror display no longer comes on, and the power locks work but driver’s door has to be done manually. The exhaust is rusty and has a couple of holes in it. It currently does not seem much if any louder than stock but may become an issue soon. Occasionally during tight turning (moving around the driveway, etc.) there will be a u-joint click but it is infrequent and does not affect normal driving. Working well is all heat/defrost functions, fan at all speeds, power windows except drivers is slow, power locks except drivers, power mirrors, gauges, stereo, cruise, wipers (front & rear), rear defrost, brakes, power steering (response is getting sloppy with age), transmission (rebuilt a couple years ago, works great), all-wheel drive, and engine runs great (no overheating, hard starting, etc.). The dash area is in good shape, including gauges and all controls/vents, etc. The seats exhibit normal creases from age but no rips or tears and still look good. The door cards are all in good shape with leather trim except driver’s door card has a crack in the plastic (seen in pics). The headliner is perfect, no issues or coming down at all. The carpet is 22 years old so not perfect but no tears or excessive stains anywhere, still looks pretty good. There is dog hair as my parents did haul their dog around in the back but vehicle was never smoked in to our knowledge. The right rear wheel/tire currently on the vehicle is the spare (tire is slightly large), the normal tire has a screw in it and is included in the spare stowage spot. Also, the center cap bolt is seized on that wheel and the center cap is missing (was destroyed during removal). The jack equipment and instructions are complete. This vehicle is completely unmolested, all wiring and mechanicals are complete as they were originally built. Truck was always professionally serviced, usually at the GM dealership and as such everything is in order. It could currently use an oil change and normal service but it runs great and while I cannot guarantee it, it seems it could be driven home any distance without issue (does not overheat, etc.). Has a clear Indiana title. Feel free to email me through eBay with any questions.
