Vehicle Detail

I am selling this car for a friend. Her husband, a retired body shop owner who had significant experience with British car restoration, spent several years working on this car for a client. It was never completed because the client fell on hard times and was unable to finance it's completion. The car is now available because the Husband has passed away and the client has released his interest in the vehicle. The car is 100 % complete and requires final body work and paint. https://www.flickr.com/photos/118436005@N07/ The painting process was started but needs to be redone. The bonnet was never painted and is in primer. The body was painted in a single stage paint but there is some orange peal and thin spots. The husband who was preforming the restoration was getting on in his years and was not able to apply the paint evenly. The paint could be sanded and buffed for a driver level finish, but to get a proper finish the paint must be redone completely. I would request that the buyer show up in person to pick up this car to ensure we get all the parts required for its completion. BODY- All rust repair has been professionally completed. This car is solid and ready for paint. ENGINE- Engine is the original 4.2 litre in-line six; it was professionally rebuilt. The records of this are available. The motor has been stored inside with the car. Carburetors are rebuilt. TRANSMISSION- I am unaware if it has been rebuilt but it has been freshened and resealed. SUSPENTION- Installed and restored, pictures show the condition. BRAKES- All rebuilt and ready to go. I don't believe hydraulic fluid has been added to the system yet. May require inspection after sitting so long. INTERIOR- All interior has been reupholstered in quality beige leather from a Jaguar supplier (see pictures). All gauges were disassembled and restored. There is a complete carpet set and headliner with the interior. VIN- 1R26020 BODY- 4R21243 ENGINE- 7R3840-9 GEARBOX-KE 4775 ADDITIONAL PICTURES-Please follow this link for more pictures https://www.flickr.com/photos/118436005@N07/ This is a beautiful coupe that deserves to be back on the road again. I guarantee that all the work done so far is top notch. Please bid with confidence. Contact me personally at gearhead138@aol.com Thanks for looking and please bid!
