Vehicle Detail
2008 Suzuki RM85L Big Wheel Supermini Stroker with numerous upgrades. We built this supermini race bike with Arenacross/Stadiumcross/Supercross and dependability in mind. We started with a stroked and balanced crank from CWI (Crank Works) in Tempe, AZ and purposely maintained a stock 48mm piston for numerous reasons, the priority being a dependable cool running motor with lots of low end torque. Heavy Duty Racing in Stafford, Va modified an OEM stock head to accept the crank stroke and Triangle Cycles sent the cylinder out for nikasil, ported, polished and put it all together. This work was done in the early fall of 2010. All new internal bearings, washers, shiftforks, seals and a new waterpump. Raced exclusively indoors or S/X venues. This bike podiumed in 2011 at the Amateur National Arenacross Championships and competed in the Supermini Finals at Sam Boyd Stadium. Meticulously maintained. It requires a minimum octane of 100 and doesn't do bad with 93 ethanol free pump with an octane booster but we have run almost exclusively Sunoco's CAM2 110 LL which is readily available. VP and Dragon also make good fuels for these superminis. If your rider isn't quite ready for the Supermini I or II classes and you want a complete transition package- for a very firm addition of 180.00 to the final selling price I will include a set of Excel Black Rims (Small Wheels) , RAD oversize spokes, Raceworthy Dunlop Geomax Tires, Moose Rotors, Renthal Sprocket, Maxxis Extra Heavy Duty Tubes, a Small Wheel OEM Swingarm and a raceworthy chain so you don't have to cut your Supermini chain. Again 180.00 additional Firm. Or you can leave me the big wheels and 85L Swingarm and we can make it a Small Wheel Supermini if that suits. Its currently geared for S/X and I will include new outdoor topend rev gearing both countershaft and rear sprockets. Also included will be a spare radiator & hoses, new throttle & clutch cables and a new spare front hydraulic brake line. New Chain roller & guide replacement. As with the Stock Practice Bike we have listed, have moved on to big bikes and are no longer riding 85's. Upgrades to this RM include the following: Front and Rear "Total Control Racing Suspension" revalves (Spring 2013), R&D Exhaust Velocity Control Plate, R&D Race Tuned Keihin 28mm PWK D-Slide Carb., Boyeson Rad Valve Reed Block with Boyeson Torque Spacer, Hinson Clutch Basket, CWI Stroked Crank, Works Connection Radiator Brace, Frame Guard and Rear Brake Cylinder Guards, IMS Pro Series Oversized Pegs, Ride Engineering Vibration Reducing Triple Clamp, Pro Taper Schoolboy Low Bars, Renthal Kevlar Grips, Good Graphics and Plastics, ARC Breakaway Pivot Levers, CV4 Silicon Hoses and Radiator Cap, FMF Factory Fatty Exhaust w/ Shorty Silencer, Works Connection Skid Plate, Good Brakes, Rotors & Sprockets, New Steering Stem Bearing, New Swingarm and Linkage Bearings, Newer Chain, Pleated Gripper Seatcover, Shift Alloy Shifter, Works Connection Holeshot Device, WeaponMX G-Zero Fueltank Foam (antislosh) and no doubt some other stuff I forgot about. We, in all probability, will be listing a very high end Outdoor National worthy "Forward Motion/PR2 Supermini in the coming weeks.
