Vehicle Detail
Please note: The warning lights and the siren speakers have been removed from this chassis to comply with eBay rules. There are no prohibited items on this vehicle, so I really hope it does not get canceled again. Up for sale to the highest bidder is a 2002 F-350 4x4 four wheel drive regular cab 7.3 liter Powerstroke turbo diesel automatic transmission dual rear wheel dually drw truck cab/chassis. This one-owner unit is a former ambulance chassis that has been owned and operated by a city EMS agency in Northern Michigan. It has been very well-cared-for and has gotten all of the service it has needed. It had just come out of service when we got the ambulance to remount and was recently DOT inspected and certified. When we removed the body, we drew down the refrigerant in the system and cut the lines to the rear heat/AC system. The AC worked great, so will just need to seal the lines and recharge. The unit starts a little hard when cold and sitting for a while but once warm it runs out great, automatic transmission shifts great, 4x4 work great, brakes are good, drives straight down the road, e-brake works. This would make a good toe truck, wrecker, wood hauler, gravity box truck, hay truck, mudder or whatever. When the ambulance was mounted, they took the rear window out, replaced it with sheet metal and cut an access hole from top to bottom about 18" wide. I now have this hole covered with a piece of luan. The tires are in really nice shape and are very expensive Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Pro Grade. The cab is very clean and solid. The cab mounts, corners and rockers are very solid with just some minor surface rust. The bottom edges of the doors are pretty rotten. I removed the rubber trim on ea h side and took a pic, you should be able to see it well. It has a really nice set of aluminum running boards on them that are very solid and sturdy. The interior is amazingly clean for the year. There is no center console or seat in the middle. It has an APC (auxiliary powertrain control module) that allows the unit to idle up when the emergency brake is set. It was ordered from Ford with the 47A Ambulance Prep package. I printed out the features this had when ordered, here are the highlights: 4.10 rear end, limited slipmonobeam front axledual alternatorsdana axles9750 pound rear axle5200 pound front axle4-wheel disc brakescold weather group #1vinyl floorheavy duty rear springs4sp auto 4R100 transmissionaux trans coolerelectric transfer case with auto hubs12,500 GVW This unit has steel wheels with stainless steel simulators on it. It also has fog lights which were wired through the ambulance switch panel which has been removed. you will need to add a switch to control them. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I would drive this chassis anywhere, so don't be afraid to fly in and drive home. Please feel free to come and look/drive with an appointment. Be prepared to pay in full within a week. I can store this at no charge for up to a couple months if needed. Clean and clear title is in hand. Buy-It-Now is a fair deal. My reserve is set low, so once it meets the reserve, it will go to high bidder. I will not take a dime less than the buy-it-now to stop the auction, once thew reserve is met, it will be sold to the high bidder. It is for sale locally, but I will not end the auction for a local buyer once the reserve is met.
