Vehicle Detail

This auction is a re listing of an auction from last fall that ended with a no The auction is for my 1970 Charger 500 SE - 1 of 2887 built and 1 of 963 painted Cream Y3. This Charger is relatively special as it is basically a matching numbers car. I was able to locate VIN numbers on the dashboard tag, the fender plate, the door jamb sticker, the radiator support, the trunk lip and the engine. Basically the only thing that been changed was replacing the heads, the manifold, the air cleaner and a 4 barrel in place of the 2 barrel. In addition to the matching numbers, I also have the following document- ation: an almost complete window sticker. build sheet, and the original owners manual and warranty card. I have even registered the Charger with Galen Grovieer. I am the 3rd owner, and the 2nd owner the original owner. I bought the car in 1999 fully intending to restore it. Some unforeseen health problems and resulting financial issues basically forced me to start parting the car out. The interior including seats, console, trim and some dash components have been sold. In addition, both bumpers, the grill and the front valance, the radiator, tail lights and rear finish panel have also been sold. Because it has been stored outside for some years, the Charger does have some rust issues. The rear frame rails and the torsion bar cross member will need repair kits. The rear lower fender panels and just in front of the tire will need to be repaired and the front floor pans and trunk pans will also need replacement parts. I believe that replacement parts are available for all of these areas. The drivers side fender may have been dinged as the paintcolor does not match. So, having said all of that, what will you get for your money. You will get a good basic car to either start a restoration or to use for parts. The car is straight with just a bit of rust behind the Penstar on the fenders and the very bottom of the doors. The outside chrome is all in place with minor swirling. There is minor pitting on the vent window frames and I would replace the mirror. The glass is all good with the only scratches that I could see were on the side windows from rolling them up and down and on the rear window from scratching frost. The 318 engine is complete with manifold and 4 barrel card except for the exhaust manifolds and the transmission and drive train are in tact with the exception of the drive train being in the trunk. I never had the engine started, but I was told that it started. Included in the sale will be numerous original parts to include" horns, head light buckets and head lights (Not T4), engine pulley, fan spacer and fan blade, wash bottle (yellowed), the battery tray (rust). the turn signals (will need to drill out screws), the side market lights (missing one red lens and minor pitting) spare tire, two extra hub caps, gas cap and trim ring (some pitting) sail panel SE emblems, interior door handles and window cranks, interior trim, gas and brake pedals with custom trim, dome light (a bit yellowed) dash and speedometer cluster (no front panel or clock). I unfortunately broke one of the pins off. but it is still there and can probably be repaired. All switches - headlights, wipers etc are still in the car. There are probably smaller parts that I have missed. I believe that I have given an honest discription of the condition of this Charger 500 SE as indicated by my positive feedback numbers. Although I have offers to sell it locally, the buyers would more than likely just part it out. I would hope that the new owner would be in the position to restore it, but the option to part it out is always there. Thank you. -
