Up for sale is this 1953 Chevy Belair 4-door sedan. I am listing this car for a friend of mine he has owned it since 1988 and has decided to thin out his collection. It has a very nice body and is very solid. The drivers side floor board has had some metal added and is very solid. This wonderful old automobile has only 53,501 original miles. The interior is original, it does have seat covers on the seats but the door panels are nice as is the head liner. There only original once! It has the 235 6 cylinder with a power glide automatic transmission and power steering. It was manufactured late in 1952 as the shift indicator has no light where as most 53 cars did but the 1952 did not. This was the first year for power steering and the special column the power steering cars had that is different than the standard. The engine smokes and leaks oil, I would recommend it to be trailered to it's new home. It does have a new gas tank, fuel pump and a new starter solenoid. With a little engine work this would be a great cruising car. If you have any questions or if you would like to inspect it or have a second party do so that is recommended before the auctions end.
