2006 Suzuki RM85 with upgrades. This will make an awesome bike for someones first dirtbike, as a trail or Hare Scrambler or a motocrosser transitioning up from a 65cc or just starting out on an 85. This will also be a good addition to anyone competing at Nationals or LLQ's in the Stock Classes in need of a dependable back-up or practice bike. If youre doing these big costly races with one bike don't ruin your weekend over an nonrepairable get-off or mishap ! These are going for a bargain nowadays.. Suzuki RM85's are the best bikes to transition or learn to ride as their power delivery is incredibly smooth and their sleek easy handling ergonomics make them very predictable and easier to control. This bike has been extremely well cared for and maintained since day 1. This RM started out new as Blake Wharton's practice bike for early 2006, for those of you that may recall Wharton's #731 dominance in those years. It was NOT his race prepped bike but rather a practice bike. We obtained it in 2008 while looking ahead to the 85cc class during the 65cc years.. We raced it lightly in '09 and indoors only during 2010. After that we built Superminis and it didn't get ridden much at all. In 2013 it was ridden a total of 6 hours and hasn't been used once in 2014. We are now on big bikes and will not be needing it any longer. This is AMA stock legal with all the necessary upgrades and looks and runs great. We had the suspension "front and rear" revalved and sprung for a 100 lb rider in the summer just last year 2013 by Chad at Total Control Racing Suspension. New fork seals, bushings, springs etc.. as you can see from the pictures the Bridgestone M404 rear and Dunlop GeoMax front are nearly new. The frame was strengthened via supporting welds to the underside of the steering stem and crossbar. It still has Whartons own #731 Fox Podium X shock that, as stated, was just rebuilt. It has Works Connection Frame and Rear Brake Master Cylinder Protectors as well as Works Connection Radiator Brace. New Swing Arm and Shock Linkage Bearings, Newer Top End and New Clutch. Awesome Annodized Blue Excel Rims with Excel SS Oversize Spokes. Good Rotors and Sprockets. Its geared mainly for Indoors and I will include an outdoor sprocket as well. Pro Taper Schoolboy Low Bars with Renthal Kevalr Grips and a Sunline breakaway Brake Lever. Decent Graphics and Very Good Plastics. Nearly new EBC Brake Pads. The shock is worth 300.00 and given the condition of the Excel Wheelset with anodized rims, Excel spokes, bearings, good tires & tubes this thing is a value simply as a rolling chassis.
