Beautiful nut & bolt restoration of a 1974 (first year) Honda MR50 Elsinore. Honda only made this bike for two years 1974 & 1975. This is a show bike. Lots of genuine Honda NOS parts, many of which are near impossible to find anymore. These parts include: Stator Cover, Throttle Cable, Clutch Cable, Shift Pedal, Petcock, Rear Sprocket, Air Box Cover, Both Levers, and Piston Assembly (1.00), plus lots more. The following parts were bead blasted and then powdercoated gloss black: Frame, Rear Sub-Frame, Kickstand, Swingarm, Skid Plate, Chain Guide, and Chain Guard. The engine was torn down and all bearings, seals, and gaskets were replaced. It has a fresh bore. Wheel bearings & seals are new. Steering Stem bearings were replaced with caged Timken bearings and the stock loose bearings were thrown in the trash where they belong. Both wheels were relaced by Buchanan's with stainless steel spokes. New seat cover, front fender, front number plate, left side cover, front brake cable, and chain. All of those parts are aftermarket reproduction of high quality. The handlebar, muffler heat shield, and both front & rear rims were rechromed. I decided to paint the engine cases and both brake hubs black instead of the original silver. In my opinion it looks much better and this is how the bigger elsinore's came anyway. It even has the throttle stop. No fluids have been put in the bike since the restoration was completed, but it was built to run. No short cuts were taken. Bike is located in Anaheim Hills , Ca.
