Vehicle Detail

Nice 1973 Volvo 1800ES. I have done just about everything to this car that I can do. Someone else needs to enjoy it now. This ES has been very well taken care of. When I bought it almost two year ago, there was nothing that it needed and it still dosen't need anything. The body is in great condition with no rust except a little surface rust at the gas tank area and a bubble or two behind one of the rear wheels. Quite common. The body is smooth and straight as an arrow. There is a very nice, professional paint job on it and it shows. The crome bumpers are driver quality and very presentable. Perfect headlining, nice dash cover that has only on small split in it. The overall interior is newly reupholstered in burgundy and black leather. It is a quality job. The carpet was also renewed at some point to match the door panels, kick panels and rear carpet in the storage area. Very professional. It has the Virgo Turbo wheels on it and the tires have plenty of tread left on them. Spare tire is also a Virgo. She drives straight and a recent caliper renewal along with a brand new master cylinder took care of a slight pull to the right when you pressed the brakes. New brake pads all around, recent rubber at all the windows, heavy duty, extra long rubber seal around the hood, Crane electronic ignition system hooked up to a standard four cylinder engine that has not reached 100,000 miles yet. Yellow Optima high-end battery provides cranking power for the all original in-line straight eight motor and will probably never wear out. It has a Weber carburetor and headers all hooked up to a new exhaust system all the way to the back. The a/c system has a new Sanden 508 compressor that pulls very little power form the motor when it is turned on. Heater works as well. The horn, turn signals, flashers, wipers, all of that stuff works. The dome light at the front works when the door is opened. I have not checked the rear light, but it's not coming on. It may just need a bulb. Overall this is a very nice Volvo and should provide the new owner with something to be very proud of. These cars were not designed for speed, but they are super dependable automobiles. This has the Borg Warner automatic tranmission in it that works as it should. The wife can drive this car! Super nice Volvo with Virgo wheels and a security system which includes a remote keyless entry. The Alpine has everything on it including a GPS system, DVD, CD. etc. I have not messed with the GPS component. The high quality sound system is hidden, and you really can't tell that it's there. Subwoofer is hidden beneath the right rear storage panel. It must have a "loop" antenna beacuse there is not one on the outside of the car. I probably missed something but this is a nice Volvo and it needs to find a good home. Buyer pays all shipping costs and as always, this automobile is sold in "as is" condition. A $500 deposit is due right after auction conclusion with the balance due within eight days. On Apr-11-14 at 19:41:00 PDT, seller added the following information: In the description where I typed battery provides cranking power for the" in-line straight eight" motor, I typed that by mistake. This is a four cylinder engine and I'm sure everybody caught that mistake anyway. Car does have "0" miles on recent oil and filter change. On Apr-14-14 at 11:16:54 PDT, seller added the following information: An interested buyer asked if the original steering wheel is available. Yes, we do have the original steering wheel for you (pristine condition). I also have four original Volvo steel wheels as well. Nothing wrong with them, they just need to be restored. For the lucky winner, I also have a brand new Weber carburetor (still in the box) that was purchased as a spare. All of these items were going to be sold seperately, but I have decided to let them go with the car. Nothing was spared in making this Volvo totally roadworthy.
