Vehicle Detail

READ THE ‘MY AUCTION POLICIES’ SECTION BELOW PRIOR TO BIDDING, THANK YOU.I have for sale my 1969 Dodge Charger R/T project car. This is a legitimate ‘XS’ VIN Charger R/T (yes, all body stampings match the sequence numbers of the VIN) that left the factory with a 440 magnum engine and a heavy duty automatic transmission. The engine and transmission are long gone but the chassis is still solid and ready to be restored. This car has been resting in a field in the dry climate of Northwest Texas since the mid-70’s. As a result, the car is very solid compared to most second generation Chargers. It is not a rust free car but it has minimal rust when compared to most unrestored second generation chargers. The frame rails are solid, the floor pan has some rust from what I assume was probably field rats building a nest under the back seat. This area isn’t bad but will need patched (see pics). The main floor pan is in good shape. It’s not perfect but definitely salvageable without a full replacement. Though it isn’t bad, the trunk floor does have rust and will likely need to be replaced during restoration. The roof skin is in great shape. There is rust around the rear glass area, but much like the rest of the car it isn’t nearly as bad as you typically see on these cars and should only need a couple small patches in the lower corners. The quarter panels will need lower patches. The front fenders have damage on the front of each fender. Replacement fenders will likely be necessary. What you see in the pics is what comes with the car. If it isn’t pictured, it does not come with the car. It is missing parts (i.e. seats, grille, hood, front bumper, drivetrain, etc.), but the fact that this car is a legitimate R/T and as solid as it is makes it an ideal candidate for restoration. I encourage anyone interested in this car and considering bidding to look through the pics on the PhotoBucket link below. There are over 200 additional pics of the car from about every angle possible. I do have a clean, open title for this car.I have over 200 more pics of this car on the Photobucket link below.http://s869.photobucket.com/user/sridenour/library/1969%20Dodge%20Charger%20RT%20Blue%20on%20BlueMY AUCTION POLICIES:PAYMENT INFORMATION: The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, do not bid until you have discussed options with me. Failure to make the deposit within the specified timeframe (unless otherwise agreed) will result in the opening a non-paying bidder case against the winning bidders account and the car will be offered to the next highest bidder via eBay’s second chance offer system. So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. These requirements will be strictly enforced! The car will be offered to the next highest bidder if there is any failure to comply by the winning bidder. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding! I’ll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier’s check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions. Therefore, if a zero feedback bidder or non-U.S. bidder wins the auction with a last minute bid and they have not contacted me prior to bidding, I will not recognize or honor their bid. In such a situation, the car will be sold to the next highest bidder with positive feedback providing their bid met the reserve. I wish these steps were not necessary, but the large number of non-paying bidders require such action. BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. As a bidder, you can be confident that the vehicle you are bidding on is described to the best of my ability. I am always happy to provide any perspective bidder my contact information if they wish to speak directly with me on the telephone about the vehicle. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message. I also expect the bidder to conduct themselves professionally and be prompt with communications and payment. My goal is to not just have a satisfied customer at the end of the auction process but also a friend.
