This was the first BMW I ever owned having bought it from a coworker. I found it had been purchased new at the BMW dealer in our area. As far as I know it has been a local bike all its' life. The bike rides just like I always read about in magazines. The maneuverability is amazing for a full dressed touring bike. It has all the factory features such as heated seats and grips, electric windshield which is nice on the highway, 6 disc cd changer, stereo, cruise control etc. For those of you who are shopping for a bike like this you probably already know all the features.The only flaw I found was when my coworker lost his balance at a traffic light. There is a slight scuff on the rubber engine/fairing guard and on the left bag. (see pic) These are barely noticeable unless you look close. The paint is absolutely beautiful on this bike with no chips. I recently took the bike to my local BMW dealer to have the service manager look it over. He said "the bike is clean and tight". He also mentioned to one of his coworkers "I wouldn't be afraid to buy that bike". This was encouraging to me. I want you to be confident when bidding on this bike.
