14845 miles, bike has been in storage since 1991,was stored correctly in a controlled environment. no rust, great condition, runs like new every item works as new,inside fuel tank shows no rust. New tires,wheels look in perfect condition,new battery,oil change,final drive oil change,all lube points lubed, radiator flush and 50/50 antifreeze replaced,spark plugs replaced, new front brake lines, caliper and master cylinder rebuilt,rear brakes checked for wear and adjusted (stops great), carbs with new gaskets needle valves seat and adjusted all new filters,new wheel bearings,axle lube,Valves adjusted. Bike work was performed at Pelham Power Sports Pelham Alabama. Comes with both rider and passenger removable back rest, removable suit case saddle bags (paint shines on all sides)AC plug (cigarette lighter), pre-wired for accessories,engine guard, saddle bag chrome guard,complete tool kit,highway pegs,adjustable headlight, owner/operator manual,original 1982 sales brochure,custom trailer hitch wired for lights ,drink holder,helmet lock, 2 helmets XM radio. removable passenger seat with storage underneath, Both rider and passenger seats show little to no wear with no rips or abnormalities. The engine runs and sounds great, starts as soon as the electric start button is touched. It was the top of the line of the "CX" style motorcycles sold by Honda. The CX line had the shaft drive of a BMW, the transverse V-twin of a Moto Guzzi, and the water cooling of a Goldwing. The GL500I added an air suspension, front and back, to the motorcycle. I can tell you it "glides" along the road. It also has electronic ignition and a higher capacity alternator, so you don't have to mess with points, and you can connect any and all accessories to the motorcycle. I would not hesitate to ride this bike anywhere. This is one of the best engines built by Honda with water cooled, drive shaft, air ride suspension.These engines can easily go 75K miles or more before any overhaul,Shifts great through all gears with no clutch problems or slippage.Great performance and torque with plenty of power. Very smooth riding bike,could easily be ridden by anyone short or tall with the low riding seat or raise the bike with the air suspension for taller rider. Under the engine is as clean as the rest of the bike and shows no leaks.The original owner passed away not long after it was put in storage. If you look you will see I have sold many Classic/Vintage Motorcycles over the years and this is one of the finest Bikes I have owned or ridden. The bike is for sale locally. If you are the winning bidder and upon pick up it is not exactly as described you can walk away with no problem. There maybe a few (not many) more miles on the bike if it is test ridden. The bike is sold with no warranty and clear title.
