I have owned this vehicle since February 2000 when it had 38137 miles. I bought it from a dealer in Burbank who specialized in Impalas and Suburbans (may have had an office in Arizona) (technically the 2nd Owner but not driver) Has been a California car since I purchased and never out of this state - I don't know history prior to then. (see history report) So that means I only average about 4300 miles per year. Completely stock no modifications. Well maintained. List of all repairs since 2000 available upon sale. It is parked in my driveway now but may drive it a little bit until sold so mileage may vary slightly from pictured or listed. Example: New BF Goodrich G Force Tires in October 2009 around 20,000 miles ago. New front brakes Oct 2010, New rear brakes Feb 2013, New battery Nov 2011, New Oil cooler lines Nov 2011, Rebuilt alternator Dec 2011, Oil change September 2013 at 97800 miles using 5-30 Synthetic Blend. New Ignition wires Sept 2013, New Fuel pump Dec 2013, New radiator Jan 2014 The downside but easily restored is the clear coat has peeled significantly on rear quarter panel driver's side and on rear bumper and starting elsewhere. Little scrape on front bumper. The bumpers were repainted in Jun 2008, Leather drivers' seat is cracking with a little split. Driver's side seat belt is frayed about six inches near the buckle mechanism. A small ding in the windshield glass which was there when I bought the car and hasn't bothered me enough to replace. There may be some bondo in the drivers side door which was repaired after a parking lot dent Jan 2001. Rear window tint bubbling. Front top of dash sun discolored. I have the original floor mats but the drivers side is well worn. There is a carpet hole on floor near drivers side left foot. This would be perfect for a body shop owner or employee who can re-clear coat at less then the approx. $1200 quotes I have gotten. I am starting the bid low enough to be a reasonable bargain even with the cosmetics necessary to restore this vehicle to prime classic condition. Only a three year production with a total of 69K Impalas. The 1996 is preferred year (and Black the preferred color) because of the OBDII diagnostics, analog speed vs digital and center console mounted floor shifter in true SS style. The Impala is a luxury family sedan with HD suspension, wide tires, fully loaded and still capable of 0-60 times around 7 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph. With the limited number of these cars produced it is getting harder and harder to find good condition low mileage Impalas.
