You are bidding on a 1978 Dodge Diplomat that has the entire driveline from a 1969 1/2 Dodge Superbee. The engine is an original 440 Six Pack engine, automatic transmission and a 8 3/4" limited slip rear end, this was built from an original HP 440 Six-Pack air-conditioning car. This is a rear 390hp Mopar engine. The car has been converted to 4 wheel disk brakes, has a large approx 40 gallon fuel tank, and leather interior. The car was built from a Medallion (top of the line) Diplomat wagon with all the options, including A/C, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, tilt steering, leather interior, full gauge package, roof rack, delay wipers and heated rear window. The car has a working 8 track player. There is a front brake lock installed as well, facilitating major burnouts. This car is an incredible sleeper. It is great fun and very fast. This car was built in 1990 and featured in the Feb 1991 edition of Mopar Action magazine. This car was shown a number times in that era and has been in storage most of the time since then. This car sounds fantastic and performs and cruises very well. Recent work done on the car: The car has a new set of purpose built carburators, The Six Pack Guy in Indianna built a set of replacement carburators for this car to improve performance and to run on modern pump gas. The car has a new power steering pump, new harmonic balancer, new belts and hoses. The This car is being driven from Texas to Las Vegas as part of a charity event.
