Vehicle Detail
See video of bike running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-bBuNdkTGY . Carburetors cleaned last week, ebay auction re-listed due to incomplete sale. Runs like new, always all original parts, no modifications ever, dealership serviced for 10 years with paperwork, 0 miles on tires, only year the 800cc was ever made. No leaks, no rust, recent $1,100 full tune-up. I got this Honda Shadow VT800C with exactly 18,000 miles in 2004 when I was 18 years old. Previously owned by the family of the dealership that sold it to me, but the guy's wife got pregnant so they put it for sale in perfect condition. I had it serviced at that same dealership for the past 10 years except for oil changes I did myself. All service paperwork included. This is the most reliable motorcycle I ever owned and I always treated it with respect. No "performance" parts or modifications ever. I drove this bike 900 miles from Ithaca, NY to Iowa City, IA without stopping. Then after a couple days I drove back to Ithaca. A few years later I drove the bike straight back and forth from Iowa City, IA to Louisville, KY a couple times. Same thing, no problems. Bike comes with back rest, tool kit, owner's manual, original key. I have not driven the bike since I lost my license in 2010, but I got it tuned-up completely on 6/19/2012 for $1,103.42 because I expected to get my license back but I did not. It has still not been driven since that service and listed here is the 6/19/2012 maintenance I bought: New headlight bulb. Installed new stator. Changed oil and filter. New air filter and spark plugs. Installed new front brake pads and rebuilt caliper. Mounted and balanced front and rear tires. Drained and refilled clutch fluid. Replaced the rear shaft oil. 4-speed transmission and shaft driven, so much simpler than maintaining a chain-drive motorcycle. This bike is in perfect condition except for a couple splits that have appeared in the seats. Stored indoors. True classic and 1988 was the only year Honda ever made the VT800C. Last week I got the carburetors cleaned and reinstalled as you see in the video of the bike running https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-bBuNdkTGY .
