Vehicle Detail
Spring is just around the corner, so get into a hard to find numbers matching rare 1974 survivor Convertible Corvette Stingray, 350 / 4 speed. This is by no means an average driver, available with vinyl hard top in addition to the soft top, like new condition. Original numbers matching 350 engine with 68,600 original miles along with the factory CLR M21 - 4 speed mannual transmission. Accident free, only a one time gorgeous recent professional refinish with the factory correct 74L Dark Red, that is absolutley show quality perfect. You won't be disappointed, the paint literally still looks wet. Perfect body, looks as good or better than the day it rolled off the assembly line. Inside and out this car is simply beautiful. The under carriage frame is solid and very clean. 1974 Corvette Documented Factory data and Numeric Vin Codes: Of 37,502 Corvettes built in 1974, only 5474 were convertibles, of that only 2612 were hard tops. This color was quite rare especially with a convertible top 4 speed combination and dark red interior. Here's your chance to own a low mileage, beautiful investment and peice of corvette history. digit 1: Chevrolet Division digit 2 : CKZ- Corvette 4 spd manual digit 3&4: 67 - Body style Convertible digit 5: J - L48 Engine digit 6: 4 - year 1974 digit 7: S- St. Louis Production Assembly Plant digit 8 to13: 400001 to 437502 - Sequense production Series Engine stamp codes #14S415398 / V0109CKZ, matches to the vin # and the driver door factory GM / Fisher body label The Oxblood interior is incredible condition, the factory original seats have no rips, tears or stains and are still suptle and comfortable to sit in. The carpet is all brand new, along with the new Corvette logo floor matts. The dash shows near perfect or like new, the clock like most old vettes does not work, but all other guages function as normal. Previous original owner believes that the build sheet is still in the gas tank / frame area. Garage kept, this car has been babied and has never seen or been driven in rain since it was painted. Factory power steering and power brakes makes this car is a dream to drive and it is quite fast for a small block car, at 75 mph on the highway the car is solid, smooth and handles great. The headers and chrome side pipes give the car that vintage muscle car look and slight rumble. You get the best of all combinations! I still have the engine exhaust manifolds that have been bead blasted and refinshed that go with the car. Both sets of wheels shown in the auction do come with the car, the vintage style American Racing, as well as the early production factory correct Corvette Rally wheels with brand new Firestone FireHawk Indy 500 WL tires that have never seen pavement. Since the paint quality on this car is so perfect I havent had the nerve to put the hard top back on the car, so I would recommend if purchasing it, have it shipped or delivered separately. There is a car cover included in the sale. The car car being sold "as is" and is for sale locally so the Seller deserves the right to end the auction early. I have represented the car as acurately as possible but please call for more details. I will assist in shipping arrangements if needed. Please call for more details. Mike 906-869-7811.
