Vehicle Detail

2006 Ford Mustang GT Shelby GT500/Eleanor Tribute Condition: Drives very nicely for a lowered car because it was done right. Normal front sway bar link pops at low speeds over rough roads (like any Mustang). The windshield wipers currently are not working, but a replacement wiper switch is included. Sale price adjusted to cover cost of repair. One or Two minor dings on the body, some left over gum from stickers smaller than the size of a quarter (I didn't want to mess with it in the cold; but when it gets warm, will clean off easily), some normal wear on steering wheel/lock button, etc., and some clear-coat blemishes on the front leading edge of lightened fiberglass hood and ram front bumper. Overall a very clean Mustang GT that looks sharp, and can be driven anywhere. Features: GT Premium/GT Deluxe Mustang with Eleanor Body Kit in Tungsten Gray, 18" Ford Factory Polished/Painted Wheels with new Pony Center Caps, Smoked Headlights, Functioning Hood Pins, 4.10 Ford Racing Rear, Lifetime K&N Air Filter, Low Restriction Bassani Dual Exhaust, Chip Tune following mods, Leather seats/steering wheel/panels, aluminum factory trim, Eleanor Twin Light Fog Grill (functions off factory switch), Kenwood DDX-512 6.1 inch Touchscreen CD/DVD/NAV Unit, Shaker 500 Speakers & Amps, and nitrogen valve caps. History: I'm the 3rd or 4th owner. Previous owner had the car completely done up in 2012. I traded a Porsche for it a few weeks ago, but the wife doesn't think it fits with our young children (not exactly car-seat friendly), so it is being put up for sale. This would be perfect for someone looking for a nice look, well running toy that really scoots. Fresh Oil Change with 5w-20 Synthetic Blend & Bosch Filter, One tire replaced by previous owner (Falken Azenis PT-722 235/50R18 with 95% tread), 3 Goodyear Eagle GT 235/50R18 with 70%-80% tread, with previous owner having had a minor bumper scratch in a parking lot in New Jersey in 2010, which was the reason for having the Eleanor Kit Installed when he had the bumper replaced.(check VIN). CLEAR TITLE in hand. Shipping & Payment: Buyer responsible for shipping arrangements from 21061 (where car is) to where ever it is to be shipped. Pick-up is also available but must be arranged. Payment must be in the form of a $500 non-refundable deposit sent via Pay-Pal and must arrive within 24 hours of sale, or the car will be re-listed and deposit used to cover any and all costs. The remaining balance must be sent immediately by bank certified check, transfer, or cash. Checks and transfers will be held until cleared for at least a week before car & title will be released to buyer. Cash sales ensure the car and title are instantly released. On Mar-13-14 at 13:29:45 PDT, seller added the following information: A few folks have asked why there aren't rally stripes. This can be added by the buyer, as it wouldn't take much to bring this car up to the next level. Stripe kits are available on eBay. On Mar-13-14 at 14:12:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I am indeed the 3rd Owner. Look at the FULL HISTORY. Original owner had a minor front end bump and had the body kit installed and finished in the same Tungsten Gray. Nothing is bent, and front end alignment is great and tracks straight at 65+ mph. The car drives really well. On Mar-15-14 at 10:47:08 PDT, seller added the following information: The weather is finally in the 60's, so I went out to look at the "paint damage" on the hood leading edge, side of scoop, and driver's side bumper/air dam. It turns out IT ISN'T DAMAGE AT ALL. It is left over sticker residue from what appears to have been some sort of stripe sticker that was on the driver's side only. I can pull up the edges with my fingernail, and the warm sun has made it obviously goo from a sticker set. Therefore, the PAINT DOES NOT NEED ANY TOUCHING UP. Just as the rest of the car, it looks like it just needs a weekend of washing, polishing, and detailing in the garage with the radio on. On Mar-15-14 at 11:10:13 PDT, seller added the following information: PICTURES OF STICKER RESIDUE PICTURE 1: Here is the leading edge of the hood with sticker gunk that i thought was peeling clear coat. PICTURE 2: Here is the same area 5 minutes after some cleaning up with fingernail peel, wax application, and a quick buff with an old t-shirt. You can really see the beauty of the Tungsten Metallic Paint underneath the dust. PICTURE 3: More sticker goo I thought was peeling clear coat. PICTURE 4: Another goo area. There are about 5-6 areas with the goo on it. It was 19 Degrees and frigid when i first listed the car. At the time, the stiff goo felt like peeling Clear. All this car needs is a good wax job and it will look amazing. On Mar-15-14 at 12:12:25 PDT, seller added the following information: A buyer asked for clear pics of seats, radio cleaned, and steering wheel. He thought he saw tears or rips in the seats. These are not tears or rips, but wrinkles in the leather. Since these are real leather seats, they have natural wrinkles and creases in them. I wiped everything down with a clean towel and parked the mustang with the SUN shining directly on the areas in question. Clearly they are natural wrinkles in the leather. The radio looks much better without all of the dust. Also, YES I DO have the cables for the hood pins. I simply haven't put them on because everyone has different tastes. Whoever buys it can put the cables on. And YES, the steering wheel is wrapped in leather as well. That is how Premium/Deluxe Steering wheels come, not the plastic type. On Mar-15-14 at 18:02:05 PDT, seller added the following information: For the guy saying my hood pictures are of a different car that's Windveil Blue, that's not the case. Being a Tungsten Gray Metallic car, when looking straight down, the paint has metallic fleck in it that reflects the sky. All pictures are of this car. Also, many are asking why the price is so low, thinking it is a POS or something. I will video me starting the beast, then video some driving to show that this is a really nice car. I set the reserve low to not have to list the car 2 or 3 times because I asked way too much (as I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about). Expect a video to be uploaded tomorrow on a popular video tube site, to be found under the title of this item.On Mar-16-14 at 13:30:26 PDT, seller added the following information: To see it morning start, idle, and turn off:http://youtu.be/YPxk9I4BkrcOn Mar-16-14 at 14:05:06 PDT, seller added the following information: To see the car start, back up on bumpy driveway, go forward on bumpy driveway, and hear the exhaust not from inside the Mustang GT:http://youtu.be/398LWr54aakOn Mar-16-14 at 14:07:10 PDT, seller added the following information: In this video, I dump the clutch to stall the engine in 5th gear. This is one quick way you can tell the condition of a clutch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7SweBibq5E Also, it appears that the rotors and pads have been replaced recently. On Mar-16-14 at 14:12:12 PDT, seller added the following information: The last video link for some reason isn't working right. If there are any issues with ANY links here, just copy and paste it into a new browser window. If you can't understand what I am saying, ask your kid for help. ;)On Mar-16-14 at 15:53:29 PDT, seller added the following information: A few more discoveries today. The antenna is an aluminum "shorty" antenna that is silver in color. Also, the body does have a few blemishes that I can see after washing the body. The front bumper has hairline cracks about 4" long on passenger side, and 3" long on driver's side, both near headlight. I tried to take pics, but so tiny they don't show up on camera. Probably not worth mentioning, but wanted to note. There are also a few nicks on the driver's side door, again, very tiny. And some blotchy clear coat action inside the lower scoop on the driver's side, but hardly noticable. All issues very easy to deal with, if you choose to do so at all. I would rock it how it is, personally. On Mar-18-14 at 09:54:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I have actually had a few folks ask me about this car, thinking it is a real GT500. The term "TRIBUTE" means almost the same as "CLONE". A "clone" means that someone has taken the time and effort to try and make the car IDENTICAL to the car they are trying to clone. For example, a Porsche 930 Turbo Clone is a regular 911 or 911s with body panels, interior, and wheels that are from a genuine 930 turbo. The advantage is you can get the same basic car for less money, but more importantly, you can drive it without the same worries as driving the real, more expensive car. Porsche 356 kit cars serve their owners well, as you can drive them without any worries at all. Ding? Who cares. Drunk driver hit you? No big deal. A TRIBUTE, is a car built to pay respect to a model, car company, race team, or individual tuner. In this case, this Premium Mustang GT was made all that much better by doing what Carroll Shelby did with the stock 1965 Mustangs. He lightened the body panels, put in more horsepower, and tuned the suspension. This car is a Shelby Tribute. I hope this clears things up. It is a beautiful car and done very well. It was a tough decision to sell. On Mar-18-14 at 12:34:09 PDT, seller added the following information: This car is a manual shift, meaning it is a stick shift car with a clutch. THIS IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC. Most drivers prefer a manual shift with muscle cars over 300hp, therefore if you cannot operate a stick shift car, DO NOT BID on this car. If you can drive manual shift and enjoy rumbling down the boulevard going through gears while looking out over the hood scoop of a awesome sounding V8, then this is the car for you. The radio is nice, but I prefer to listen to the rumble of the twin exhaust.
