For sale is a super cool '72 Road Runner. This car is partially disassembled for restoration in progress. I acquired this car in its current condition. The former owner disassembled it and had begun the restoration process. The engine compartment, door jambs, and front and rear window beds have been repainted. New Front & Rear glass installed. This Road Runner is a super find! it is in good condition. The body work on the outside has not been done so you can see in the photos the real story, nothing hidden. There is minor rust, a hole has been cut in the trunk floor, perhaps for a remote battery or something, and a patch has been put in the driver floorboard. This is a very solid and EXCELLENT restoration candidate!! The fender tag is still in-tact, check out some of these factory options: N41 - Dual Exhaust, N42 - Dual Exhaust tips (still have these) N85 - Tachometer ( original gauge has been removed, restored and reinstalled) N96 - AIR GRABBER HOOD, V21 - "hood tape treatment" this is what some call a rally stripe, you can still see signs of it on the hood, this makes the car even more rare as the only car that could have this option in '72 is a RM23 / N96 car! TB3 - Basin street blue, E68 - 400/4bbl (car comes with a 440), D21 - 4 speed manual, RM23 - Road Runner According to a little research, apparently there were only 3828 400/4bbl cars and only 906 4 speeds. Break it down by Basin street blue, the Air Grabber and the V21 stripe kit and this is a pretty rare car!! This was a complete car when the former owner disassembled it. Most of the original car parts are available and come with the car. I know little about the engine, It is as I received it, I was simply told it "is a good running 440". The odometer shows 51,912 The car is located in central North Carolina.
