Vehicle Detail
We bought this car with a blown engine and we've replaced the motor, one with only 62,000 on it. Before the new motor was installed, we bench tested the starter and alternator, replaced spark plugs and wires, transmission mount and motor mounts. The new motor runs great! Strong, silent and lots of power. Oil and filter change performed. Hoses and Serpentine Belt looked new with no signs of wear so they were reused. Transmission received full service including filter and flush. Brake rotors were turned front and rear and pads were replaced with new carbon metallic pads. Entire brake system power flushed. A/C needed to be recharged because of motor swap and we replaced low and high side A/C schrader valves before recharging system. Radiator was replaced because of a small leak detected. We've gone over this car front to rear, every mechanical system is like new. Tires are nearly new Michelins, I would describe them at 90% tread. Car's been detailed including thorough steam cleaning with seats out of car, no signs that it was ever a smoker car (no ashes or butts discovered during detailing). Paint is fantastic and looks like it was garage kept. This is a fantastic car with LOTS of pep and it rides great with a lot of room front and rear. You will love this car, see the photo presentation and you'll see what I mean. Ask questions if you've got them. The car has a clean Carfax report… no accidents, and a clear title. I'm listing the car with no reserve so it will sell, don't let this one get away from you. In a previous listing, people asked about documentation regarding the replaced engine, so the last photo in the gallery is of the receipt for the used motor. On Mar-15-14 at 15:20:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Just got the car smogged. The cert is good for 90 days so the buyer can rest assured that the transfer of title will be trouble free. On Mar-16-14 at 12:19:37 PDT, seller added the following information: A potential bidder asked questions about the photos and they noticed some scratches in the rear bumper that I did not notice and although they are included in the original photo's I did not point them out. The scratch on the left of the bumper looks like it could be touched up and the scratch on the right of the bumper, looks like it's already been touched up. Upon taking additional photo's I noticed other blems worth mentioning. On the drivers door, there are two very small almost vertical scratches, which are new because in looking at the original photos these two new ones weren't there when I shot my original photos. They are very, very small but worth pointing out. I'm already maxed (24) photos on the listing and I'm having trouble deleting some photos to make room for a few additional regarding these blemishes. One last item, on the right rear quarter panel, below the impala emblem, there is a dent which I think I've captured in the correct light to make the dent visible. It's very easy to miss, depending on the angle and the light. This dent is one I didn't notice at first because its only visible under certain light conditions. Ebay no longer allows a link to externally hosted photos so if anyone contacts me with their email address, I'd be happy to provide close ups of the number as well as the other items I've listed above.
