Vehicle Detail
This is a very beautiful and sexy car that has just undergone a 1000+ hour frame off restoration.. What started with a " garage find " underwent a complete dis-assembly of the car. The frame was first high (HOT!) pressure power washed which resulted in finding no rust at all on the framework of this car. Frame was them media blasted and spray painted with Chassis Saver Black Urethane. All Skins ( fenders, shrouds etc. ) have been addressed both sides. The inside skins were addressed with Chassis Saver Black Urethane to deter future corrosion, and the outsides of skins were stripped to bare metal with airport stripper and 00 steel wool. All exterior skins have received etching epoxy primer, 2 coats of sikkens base coat and 2 clear coats. Floors, pans, all have been media blasted, epoxy primered and have also received 2 base coats of sikkens paint as well as 2 clear coats. I have incorporated the " Healey 5 Speed " Conversion kit into this car which is linked up to a W58 Completely Rebuilt Toyato 5 Speed Transmission.. All new engine components "EVERYTHING" inside the motor and head has been addressed with NEW internal components, with the exception of the crank, which was sent to a calif company for magna fluxing, spray welding and re-cutting, then it was CNC balanced ( with documentation ) as well as balanced again with the flywheel mounted ( also documented) and additionally balanced yet again with the pressure plate added (also documented ) Replaced original oil filter assembly with a K&N spin on oil filter linked up to an exterior oil cooler Have also included an auxiliary 14" electric fan ( pusher type ) for additional cooling as most Healeys are renowned for overheating in Standing Traffic. Custom Exterior Heat Shield made and installed with a 1/4" air gap to help in keeping exterior exhaust heat out of the car Fully chromed Tourist Trophy exhaust system from headers to exhaust tips. Completely rebuilt seats in Leather with both front seats being heated on demand, Rear seats completely new, ditto the leather! Beautiful ( extermely tight ) matching Burgandy top..... The car also has the Hard Top that you see in the photos Sound dampening Heat Shield throughout the interior floor and footwells of the car, carpet padding and new carperting throughout. Nicely fit! Completely new wiring harness, tail-lights to head-lights and everything in between. New Brakes, rotors ( front disc rear drums ) calipers, lines cylinders ( clutch also ) new handbrake hardwares COMPLETE. For those of you who have ever restored a car like this, you know that the list seems to go on and on... Any questions, just ask. The face of the dash panel and the steering wheel is basically all that has not been addressed on this car. I thought to leave them as they were Please do not let the mileage that is listed here mislead you. Since the completed Restoration just before the 2013 winter arrived here, there has been the following: A) 20 minute run in on completely rebuilt motor: Oil and filter changed then B) 300 Miles Driven on new Rebuild: Oil and filter again Changed C) Less than 700 Miles put on car before being put in garage for the winter....... So your looking at roughly just 1,000 miles on a throughly dis-assembled and rebuilt car. Brand new 72 spoke STAINLESS rims ( knockoffs of course) and new radial tubeless tires... Roughly installed 200 miles ago I am the one who did the sweating and bleeding and cursing over the restoration of this car... I'm realistic enough to know that I'm more than likely not going to get my sweat back in terms of dollars, I accept this, but I do hope to recoup my investment. This is an absolutely wonderfully running and physically beautiful car. Best of luck to all... Call if you need to: Scott 484-239-9564 NOTE: If possible, it is suggested that you inspect the car before bidding or purchasing it. It had come to my attention last week that one individual got a little upset with me when I did not respond to multiple requests that he can come to inspect the vehicle, however... I was not aware of his emails to me because they went to my spam box, and it wasn't until after the auction was over that this came to light. Wo with this in mind, let me say this: If any of you are seriously interested in this car and might want to see it, there is a phone number listed here for a reason, if I am not responding to your email inquiries, there is a reason, just pick up the phone and we can eliminate issues with third party emails... Thank you all and good luck.
