Vehicle Detail

Please read this to the end. Any bids with zero or negative feedback will be cancelled. I am relisting due to to contact or payment for vehicle. This Auction is for a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ that was my Daughters. I will do my very best to describe in painful detail everything about this vehicle. To begin with, this vehicle runs and drives like a car with 30,000 miles on it. Smooth and nice. If you were blindfolded, you would think this is a much newer vehicle. The sheetmetal is in very good condition for the most part. The front sheetmetal is near perfect. Headlights are clear and actually look new. The front bumper has a small piece of paint missing on the left front corner. there is no rust. I looked on line for a used front end and alone it ranged from $1800-$2500. The front doors are very good and everything works on them. Very minor pings. The Left rear door is pretty nice with minimal surface rust at the bottom. The right rear door has more rust and a single screw in the door handle holding it on, The right rear quarter has some rust starting to bleed through where the bumper meets at the wheelopening. The left rear quarter is OK. The rear bumper has some scuffs and scrapes but nothing that would make me replace it. It just needs to be sanded, minor minor repair and repaint. The tailgate is rusted. It works, however I'd not use it on another vehicle. The interior is worn no more than expected for a vehicle with 240,000 miles on it. Small tear on the drivers seat, reflector missing off of drivers door. Salt stained rugs. Everything on the interior works (mirrors, heated seats, wipers, windows, power locks, 4wd switches, rear seat controls which are on the back of the console) with the exception of the power sunroof, and temp control is tough to make adjustments. Not that the HVAC system does not work, in fact hot heat and cold coid Air Conditioning. The temp control goes up from 62 to the 70's and just as you go past 72 jumps down to the 60's again. Defroster, heat and vents work perfect. There are no leaks from the sunroof. The motor runs very well once warmed up. You would swear it was new. Issues with the motor are as follow. The cam position sensor works fine, however there are screens in there that cause the oil pressure to fluctuate. The pressure is fine, in fact good, just the gauge will dive out of the blue. The warning light comes on, but it's fine. It'll say low oil pressure or change oil or oil level low but nothing is wrong. (this is a common problem, you can check it out on line). It does leak a little oil, looks like the rear main. It has a newer water pump and brand new power steering lines. Check out how difficult those are to change sometime. The rack and pinion does weep some fluid. If you don't want to stain your driveway, I'd replace. The Transmission is new. It has upgraded electronics and the cooler has been flushed. The transfer case works mint as do the front and rear differentials. The rear differential cover was replaced due to rust. No leaks from anything here. Speaking of rust here are a couple of bad things that do not affect the driving. There is no spare tire, It is most likely on Rt 395 in Connecticut. The place that it mounts has rotted away and away it went. Other than that the frame is fine. Why only there I don't know. There is 4 wheel disc brakes here. The rear backing plates that hold the ebrakes are rotted. The ebrake does not work. (really, how often do you use it?) Wheels are corroded as expected on an older vehicle and tires will pass inspection. I'd put new on after winter. I bought this on eBay almost 5 years ago from the original owner. It had high highway miles but is almost as you see it now. My daughter just got our hand me down Malibu from my wife. Bidders with Zero or Negative Feedback must call me before bidding. You must pick up in Central Connecticut. Contact must be made within 24 hours of winning to make arrangements for payment/pickup. Paypal accepted (or cash) Jeff 860-614-5631
