The engine in the car is not original as evidenced by serial number, but is very likely factory replacement case that was stamped with chassis number when it was installed in the car. The powerplant is tight and strong just like a 95hp SC engine should be. It is fitted with Weber 40IDFs. The COA ( which I no longer have ) states the car is 1965, but Porsches serialization for the Karmann coupe indicates that is actually 1964 production. There are rust bubbles along the bottom edges of both doors, but the rocker panels are showing no sign of rust. The paint is holding up real well. The gaps are very good and doors, hood and engine lid open and close perfectly well. The pan looks great with some patches where undercoating has pealed away. The glass in this car is excellent, brightwork is very good, nice chrome wheels. Nice and clean interior, seats are in very good condition. This car still has original 6 Volt electrical system. Recently replaced: *Petronix electronic ignition *Battery *H4 Halogen headlights with proper relays *fuel filter *spark plugs *distributor cap and rotor *transaxle mounts *king & link pin sets *200mm flywheel *Clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing *transaxle mounts *rear axle boots *front and rear disk brake rotors *stainless front brake lines . Moto Lita steering wheel Starts run and drive great. Looking for good home. Currently registered and on the road.
