Vehicle Detail

#9611967 Honda CB450 Black BomberFrame Number: CB450 1012545 Engine Number: CB450 E 1010387 This is a 1967 BSA Honda CB450 Black Bomber that I bought back in 1995.I rode it on and off for a couple of years but after a while it migrated to my nice warm, dehumidified basement to slumber for couple of decades. It hasn’t see the light of day or been run since. It was a great running, reliable machine back then and with just a little attention it will be again. It will need a battery and possibly a carburetor cleaning but other than that it should be set to go. This Black Bomber is in unusually good original, un-restored condition. There is a little acid damage around the battery box and on the side covers where the battery spit up years ago. The tank is un-dented but has some light scratching in the top of it and one small scratch on the right side chrome panel. The previous owner told me that the bike fell off of its side stand once (ridiculously long side stand on these bikes.) It tweaked the handle bar slightly and put a small dent in the underside of the right muffler (see photo.) The tip of the rear fender has been scrapped a little and is missing a little paint. Otherwise, the bike is in excellent condition. Years ago I stumbled across an NOS front fender that I bought and installed so that is beautiful. The rims are nice and shiny with no rust at all. The exhaust is very nice (with the exception of the before mentioned small dent.) The instruments and switches are all very good. The seat is very good with the exception of a couple of places when someone smudged a little white paint on it... (three or four ¼” dabs – visible in the photos) I have not tried to remove them but I believe that someone who knew what they were doing could clean it off. The original plastic tank badges are in excellent condition. I did a compression test back in 1995, when I bought the bike and both cylinders were right at 175 lbs (as new.) I have a good Washington state title in my name. If you would to inspect this machine in person I will be very happy to help arrange a visit. The bike is in Normandy Park, WA, a ten minute drive from the Seattle/Tacoma airport. Also, I am very happy to do all that I can on this end to help in stateside or overseas shipment. I can deliver the bike to a local shipping company to save you the cost of having it picked up at my residence. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call or e-mail. My cell number is (206)276-9791 and I can be reached up until about 10:00PM (Pacific time zone.). Attached are all of the photos I have of the bike but I will be happy to photograph any details that you would like to see. Please be prepared to make a $200 deposit through Pay-Pal, Cashiers Check or Money Order within 48 hours of the end of the auction and pay the balance within 7 days of the end of the auction. I would like to see the bike picked up soon after the sale goes through but might be able to store it for a short time if need be.
