1998 Jeep wrangler SE 5 spd hardtop! I took this wrangler in on trade locally at my dealership. The previous owner told me that he bought this as a toy to play around with and drive around the area, etc, but needed a larger full size pickup for work. This jeep wrangler has a clean carfax with no accidents reported and comes with a clear and clean iowa title ready to go. After driving it for the weekend to really get a feel for the jeep, I ended up totally impressed by how fun this jeep was to drive. I had the jeep up to 70 mph and it drove wonderful. The 5 spd shifted in all gears like they should and the 2.5lt 4 cyl engine ran very nice with plenty of power with the 5 spd ,on our northeast iowa bluffs. I parked the jeep in my indoor showroom after using it for the weekend and I didnt see any leaks under it. The jeep handled well and comfortable but there was some play when it went down the road, (nothing crazy or overconcerning, etc, but it was there. ) The cosmetics of the jeep look very good for a truck that is 15 years old, with no major blemishes or rust I can see. There are some minor scuffs, very small bubbles on the hinges here and there, etc, the camera will have a hard time picking them up. definitely nothing too bad or uncommon for the year. I pictured and videoed anything I saw. The underside of the jeep looks good as pictured with no major rust I saw and only minor surface flaking. The Hardtop looks good. The doors on the jeep open and shut the way they should ,but the rear door is stiffer opening and closing. the top of the driver and passenger side doors do not fit perfectly under the hardtop as pictured. The interior of the jeep looks good with only minor cosmetic spots here and there. I pictured everything I saw. The passenger side and rear seats look great but the driver side has a tear or two in the seams. There is a seat cover on it now that looks good. The am fm c/d player is working great as well as any power option like fan control, headlights etc. The dash guages are all working like they should. there is a airbag light that comes and goes (I videoed it on) The fog lights I couldnt figure out how to turn on so I am assuming they are not working. there is no horn, The tires look great with lots of deep tred. the mag wheels look sharp as well. The spare on the back didn't match the four on the jeep and was weaker on tred. The wipers are working great. the owners manual is in the jeep. I do not want to overcall this jeep or undercall it, understand that you are buying a 15 year old jeep, let the video, description, and pictures tell the story and call with any questions at all. I had a absolute blast driving this jeep and it will most definitely turn heads where ever you go! I set the reserve well below the market value of a jeep like this to ensure a sale. Only bid if you are serious about buying it!
