Just in time for Christmas! 1964 Volkswagen Dunebuggy. “Sandwinder” style clone, one of many Manx style copies of the Era. Clear Texas Blue title as a 1964 beetle. Clean, solid buggy, and a great example of its kind. Enjoy immediately, as it needs very little. Registered and street legal. Solid rust free pans, swing axle rear end, Scat “drag Fast” shifter, older dual port 1776cc with dual 40mm webers that are freshly rebuilt and tuned. Runs like a champ, and shifts thru all the gears as it should. Previous owner painted with base/clear coat including Ed Roth “cherrie pie” metal flake. It is no show car, and not without its flaws, but very presentable, and looks good in the sunshine. A solid 15 footer in terms of finish. Additional photos available upon request. Sale includes: Chrome roll bar that I chose to run the car without. (Show bar for looks… NOT a cage..) New tow bar for 1-7/8” ball. Set of (4) wide 5 to small chevy wheel adapters, should you choose to run different wheels. Black vinyl snap-on top. New in the last year, and all receipts on hand: Tri-Mil ceramic coated baja style merged exhaust. Speed Hut GPS speedometer with trip computer. New tires, new chrome wheels, and new chrome center caps. The bad: Stops fairly well, but could use a full brake job to be correct. Several push rod tubes leak a little oil.
