Vehicle Detail

1975 Corvette Stingray convertible 4speed car. Out of 38,000 corvettes produced in 75 there were only 4629 convertibles produced and only 1,057 4speeds total. This corvette has both. History. My father purchased this car in 75 used with about 12,000 miles. Original Bright green. In 1986 he had it painted the color it is today, restored the interior and changed the motor. I received the car in 2003 and have owned it since. I'm going to try to be as descriptive as I can so you know what you are getting. Motor: This motor is made to scream. It is incredibly fast. The build sheet list as follows: 350 4 bolt main, Manley crank studs, moroso windage tray, 327 crank, turned 20/20, chamfered holes, chev LT1 pink rods, balance and sized, chev 11.5:1 pistons, fly cut, black iron rings. Cam I believe is around 428" lift, heads ported and polished, big exhaust ports 2.02 intakes, double springs, 3 angle valve job, 3/8 pushrods, chrome valve covers, timing cover, water outlet, oil pan and dipstick, and high volume oil pump, edelbrock torker 2 manifold, and Holley 750cfm double pump carb. Motor runs good but was built for racing. Only approx. 4,000 miles on motor. Does run on pump gas but does love higher octane fuel. It has racing piston rings with does allow it to smoke when started and when getting on it. could use some gaskets, oil pan and manifold. slight saturation. Paint was done in 86. Its a ford color. does show its wear, seams, one seam has crack, chips from driving. But still looks good. Bumpers are fiberglass installed in 04. Doors could use some alignment. It has hardtop painted to match, has been in storage and never on the car til I took the picks for this ad. Hardtop needs weather-stripping replace, mounting hardware and has headliner that need to be dyed to match interior. The top is from a 76 corvette. The hardtop hasn't been on since the 70's. Interior is in good condition, only thing is the door panels have wear and could be replaced. It was an air condition car but when motor was put in the components were removed. the hoses in engine bay are there if you want to restore it back. But as my dad said, don't need a/c in a convertible. Radio is original stereo and does work. All gauges work. Car has original alarm and it works. Has rear window defrost but no motor. Two years ago I rebuilt the stainless steel calipers with oring seals, installed stainless brake lines, new hoses to calipers. new pads, and new master cylinder. Has new power steering hoses. Tires are 10 years old and have some flat spots and will need to be replaced. Car has original rear end 3:36 posi. I have a 4:11 gear set to go with it. Also have 90% of a exhaust system to go with the sale. Parts to go with carb, gaskets, springs, jets ect. This is a fun car to drive. Just need someone to give it the TLC that it needs. I have too much going on and would like it to go to someone who will enjoy it. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and I will try to answer as best as I can.
