Up for auction is a 1972 HOTROD Honda minitrail AK3, First year for the rear shocks. I am the 2nd owner of this beauty. My friend got this new as a kid ridden very,very little and stored away in their barn for years. When I bought this 8 yrs ago, this bike was all original down to the tires and brakes. I cleaned carb and tank and it started right up an ran perfectly, but was too slow, so I installed a 150cc high revving, high compression 4 stroke with mikuni carb, 4 sp trans an manual clutch, 12 volt cdi ignition, billet oil cooler, big bore pipe, street tires, and a brake light switch. This bike runs and sounds great, extremely fast 70+++ mph. Not a beginner bike. Also comes with original engine, tires, exhaust, etc... Everything is there to put bike back to original cond. (except throttle cable). I did not modify anything in a way to where it can not be put back to original. Again this bike is all original other than engine swap. Seat cover, paint, stickers, bars, grips, pegs are original. Pics and description don't do this bike justice, you need to see an hear it run, real head turner, conversation piece. Everyone that sees this bike run loves it. This bike comes with bill of sale only, no title were issued for this bike when new. I fixed this bike to ride on the street, from what I read on the laws of tn. is that if it came with below 50cc engine and had all the safety equip. that it was considered a moped and didn't require a tag thats why I added brake light switch, but check with your local laws to see for yourself I am unsure if this bike is considered street legal in your state. Also comes with original mini bike helmet that came with it new. Please inspect all pictures closely and ask any questions you may have before bidding. Bike has some minor scuffs and scratches, slight dents in front an rear fenders, small crack in rear, knob on light switch broke, small tear in seat. Cheap on gas, and will cruise 50 mph all day long, starts 1st kick.
