1984 Suzuki RM

Up for sale is a 1984 RM250 in great running shape. This is no show bike but is in very nice shape. It has all the normal wear and tear of an MX bike. I rebuilt everything on this bike a few years ago and rode it at the track while I was building my custom 1980 RM400/465 twin shock bike. Now it has been setting. I always wanted to try out a FullFloater and they work awesome. This is a GP3 bike in the vintage races, (drum brake, linkage suspension). I need to move a few bikes, have too many. It needed a new cylinder so I bought a good used cylinder and bored it on its first over bore with a wiseco piston. Replaced all seals (water pump, crank, kick start, etc.) with OEM seals, forks as well. No leaks of any kind. Radiators in great shape with new hoses when rebuild was done. It has a 38mm flat-slide Keihen carb from a 2008 KTM and jetted perfect with a vforce reed block and Boyesen reeds. Throttle came from that KTM as well and is very smooth, snappy and quick. Tires are in good shape with about 85% tread left, medium compound. Chain and sprockets are in very good shape. New brake shoes front and rear when rebuild was done. New Barnett clutch and springs. ASV clutch lever. Wide foot pegs.The two things that could use attention are the seat and tank. Works just fine as is but if you want a better look could use a freshen up. The tank I bought used and somebody painted it black and I couldn't get all the paint off so I painted it yellow. Not the best paint job but it looks ok. The seat could use a recover but it is useable and comfortable as is. All and all this is an awesome running bike, very reliable and very fast. You won't be disappointed with its performance. Also I have only run 100 low lead aviation gas with Golden Spectro oil. I run this in all my two strokes and have never seized a piston. I run 12oz oil to 5 gallons of fuel. If you have access to an airport, try it. The best fuel mix ever. Runs super clean and crisp.
