Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1978 Chevy van. Factory Pathfinder 4x4 conversion (look them up on Google). Dana axles, lock out hubs, 350 v8, automatic transmission. I've decided I have one too many projects in the yard. This one seems to run and drive ok (I've only driven it up and down my road a handful of times), starts up nicely, comes off choke as it should and runs and shifts through the gears as it should. It had been sitting for some time before I got it and could really benefit from a tune up,tires, oil change, lube, cleaning, fluid changes, general TLC, etc. I cleaned it and put fresh gas in the tank it and did nothing more to it. The tires hold air but are dry rotted in the tread and it has rust in the typical van areas as shown. The battery is weak, but will take a jump and start. The frame looks to be solid with surface scale rust. The brakes are soft, but do work. I've tested the 4wd in both low and high range. It will climb a tree. It has a bunch of lights, switches and other things you would find in a rescue vehicle. I don't know what switches works what components but they all appears to be intact and light up when toggled. There are power outlets all over the van, I have not tested them nor have I tested the many toggle switches for lights, sirens, horns, oxygen, etc. The build sheet under the hood shows it as all one ton components with added options. It has side exit exhaust with what appear to be flowmaster true dual exhaust. It has a really nice tone to it and a nice lope at idle. I suppose the van could be driven home by an adventurous individual, but should probably be trailered since the van hasn't seen road usage in some time. It is sold as-is and I reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is being sold locally. No tire kickers please, ask questions and look at all the pictures. (Cooler and wooden box shown are not included). I will assist shipper should you choose to have vehicles shipped (at your cost). Uship is great for this. Auction is no reserve and goes to high bidder. If you have less than 5 feedback, contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel your bid. Good luck.
