Hi, I have decided to sell my 1987 Jeep Wrangler YJ. I bought it to fix it up and have some fun with it. But I have run into some electrical gremlins. I bought from a kid that told me it just needed a coil to get it running. He said he drove it up until a few months ago and it was like someone shut the key off and it lost spark. I have tested the coil, pick up coil, and ignition control module and all test fine. It looks like the previous owner did some "custom wiring" and did a pretty poor job of it. Everything is there I just can't figure out why it won't get spark. It is also not getting power to most things. The wiring harness is all there but the previous owner spliced into certain wires and installed a non standard starter selnoid. The wiring is more than I wanted to get into. Any how the jeep has a rebuilt motor by C&P Machine shop out of Fort Wayne in it that is only about 2 years old. I tried to take a picture of the data plate so you could see the specs but it came out a little blurry. The rebuilt engine was one of the main reasons I bought the jeep and I probably ended up a paying a little more than I should have for it. If you have the proper knowledge of Jeep electrical systems it probably wouldn't take too much to fix it. The body and frame are in ok condition. I tried to take several pictures of the frame and chasis. It certainly won't win any awards but I have seen much much worse as well. It has a new starter and a newer radiator in it as well. This would make a fun toy for somebody to cruise in or to blast through the woods with it. If you have any questions please let me know and I would be happy to try to answer anything that I can. As you see from the pictures I have it sitting on my trailer so I could easily deliver for a small fee or we could push it off my trailer on to yours. The Jeep has a clear IN Title. I also have it for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
