Ever heard the phrase "Better to ask forgiveness than ask for permission"? I bought this car for my wife a month ago, put new wheels and tires on it on the way home. She had asked me to find her a convertible. I got home and she says; not an OLD convertible . . . so it is back on the market! Clean, driver quality 64 Chevy. Brand new 17" American Torque Thrust wheels and new tires. Previous owner said he installed new exhaust, shocks, brakes, and it looks like the powerglide transmission has been out recently. (see pictures) The engine has a small leak, tranny is clean. This factory air conditioned car is missing the compressor and various a/c parts. Front seats are comfortable, but not original. Seatbelts not factory. You can see by the pics that it appears to have original floors, rockers, and sheet metal. Very solid, obviously garaged car. Couple little dings here and there. The top is old, some would replace right away. It was going to be a sunny day driver for us so I would have put the new boot on it and driven it. Runs and drives very well. It is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary!! I have driven the car less than 50 miles, everything seems to work. Since it is new to me, I suggest an inspection--and of course no warranty on this car. On Nov-14-13 at 16:07:14 PST, seller added the following information: License plates do not go with the car.
