Vehicle Detail
Well, I should "never say never" I guess... For sale today is my beautiful 1968 Plymouth Satellite Sport Convertible. This car has been faithfully built from the ground up as a tribute to her sister the Plymouth GTX. Reportedly one of less than 1000 1968 Satellite Sport Convertibles ever built, it is one rare beast. Painted in the very unusual, one year only, QQ1 Electric Blue Metallic with white interior and white power top. Every system, part, nut and bolt have been replace or restored to better than new condition and she drives like a new car. Hardware: Fitted with a 1968 date coded and completely rebuilt to spec 440ci (steel crank) engine, 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive and 3:23:1 Sure-Grip differential. This combination is good for 400hp and she cruises 70mph on the freeway at 2200 rpm.Front and rear anti-sway bars and Vintage Air Conditioning have been added. Condition: I would consider this car to be a very nice driver. She has claimed her share of #1 trophies but the real payoff is in the reactions that she gets from anyone that passes by. The car was born and sold new in California. The second owner was in Nevada and then I purchased it brought her to Arkansas. This explains the almost nonexistent rust issues that normally plague convertibles. The drivers rear quarter does have some filler down low but the trunk extension is perfect. As I stated, this car is a driver, so one can expect a few flaws. Small nicks or flaws in the paint, tire wear, dust and the ever-present bug splatter are to be expected. Purchase, Shipping and Payment arrangements: Please give me a call or text to discuss the car or make arrangements to view it in person. (Highly Recommended) Ask lots of questions before you bid! I have a clear title in hand. 501-351-2631 I will sell internationally but I will not ship, hold a check, deal with a escrow company etc. International buyers be prepared to have a local US representative available to make the transaction in person. On Nov-14-13 at 09:08:16 PST, seller added the following information: Thank you for all of the interest, calls and questions. Keep them coming! To answer a few of them. The car was born a V8 Automatic. As far as I know, all of the sheet metal is original to the car except the GTX hood from a donor. The car has an aftermarket stereo, power antenna and power trunk release.Everything works including the factory clock. Two of the Cragar wheels are perfect and 2 are showing some weathering. I don't know why. Still presentable. No, I wont tell you how much I want for the car. Please bid what you are comfortable paying and I hope you win!And finally Yes, it runs as good as it looks! :-) On Nov-14-13 at 16:18:27 PST, seller added the following information: VIN# Added RP27F8G214XXX On Nov-16-13 at 11:39:04 PST, seller added the following information: Thank you again for all of the interest. The old girl is very popular! As requested, I have added pictures of the underside of the car and trunk floor. Please excuse the road grime, remember this car is driven. All of the original undercoating is still covering the original floor pans, frame and trunk extensions. This car is as solid an example of a 68 B-Body that I have ever seen. The trunk has carpet glued down (previous owner) and it will be a mess to try and remove it but I did pull it back a bit for pictures. I expect that it is just as solid as the rest of the car. Please keep the question coming! I will respond as soon as possible.
