With infinitely variable valve timing & separate throttle butterfly for each cylinder, the V10 s broad power spread gets even more aggressive rushing toward its 8,250-rpm redline via its amazing 7-speed auto Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG). When shifted manually (via wheel-paddles or console-mounted shifter), the SMG works wonderfully, blipping the throttle in blindingly fast downshifts and upshifting rapidity that will win most stoplight races. In auto mode the SMG is suitable as a gentle daily driver. The I-Drive system has an M-Drive menu allows the driver to program preferred throttle and transmission settings to suit ANY driver!
