This auction is for my reliable 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This was my car that I used during the winters as my every day car due to the 4WD. I am the original owner of this non smoking car. ( I took the lighter out in 1997 and put a rubber plug in the lighter, so the actual lighter is not available). The car is white with the Gray Larado plastic trim. The paint has one area that is peeling at the drivers side rear louvers. There are not really any other body damage to speak of. The car has been very reliable over the years but replaced with a newer model. The interior is in good shape with some carpet wear under the front mats. It has 146,523 miles. The car has always had permenent wax on the exterior and armor all on the interior. There is some minor surface rust under the rear deck lid edge and under the doors thar I noticed when I washed it last week to take the pictures. The areas that I would address if I kept the car are as follows. The anti lock break light is illuminated and has been illuminated for the last 2 years, so the breaks work but the anti-lock does not. I did get an anti lock unit 2 years ago but I never installed it because I wasn't sure how to bleed the anti lock unit. The brake lines are rusty, as one would expect, and I would have them replaced. There are 2 tires that are just "OK" and 2 brand new that I put on last winter before I got my new car. The muffler should be replaced. I have patched the horizontal seams with muffler patch but after the winter the patch material fell out. Other than those things mentioned the car runs fine. The car has the the usual Laredo package and has the optional Laredo package #26X. That is the over head console, sunscreen deep tint glass. It has the Trailor tow package with the special fan drive, auxilliary auto trans oil cooler, 3.73 axle ratio, and special power steering pump. I never had a hitch installed because I had no need to tow anything.
