Vehicle Detail

1985 Saab 900S 2d Notchback Coupe27,925 original miles (yes, this is the original mileage on the car)5spd manual Collector quality with original paint that is close to perfect. No scratches/door dings that I can see!!!My understanding is that the notchback coupes were only offered in "S" models and imported to US in 1985 (8V) and 1986 (16V).The bodies are a bit stiffer than hatchback models. I purchased the car this year thinking it would be a great daily driver and would be fine left outside every once in a while.Big mistake. We moved 1.5 months ago and the car spent a week outside and the pine needles made a mess on the roof of the car.As you can see, we have no shortage of pine needles around the house!!!I immediately put the car in storage where it will be until it's sold. We have a 2 car garage and own 4 cars. This car needs an owner that has room to garage it just as it's been it's whole life.A car cover is also included (see pic inside trunk). I removed the sheepskin seat covers the same day I took pictures of the car. I have never liked them and decided they needed to come off for the listing anyways...You'll see a few shots with the seat covers and most without. By the way, the seat covers are genuine Saab covers (likely been covered since day one). Passenger seat has a slight indentation from seat cover but that has went away and is hardly noticeable. I also removed the dash cover to show the perfect dash. Leaks no fluids. Original stereo included (see pics in trunk).I purchased a repair manual (never used it). Hard to find any imperfections. The car is collector quality. There is a small ding in windshield trim (driver's side corner bright trim molding - shown in one of the 162 pics!!!). Windshield is original. Previous owner referred to it as museum quality. I did have the headliner replaced by an upholstery shop that does some of the finest upholstery work in the country (car builders from around the country have cars shipped to him for upholstery/tops/carpet.I have the original manuals/books that came with the car (I don't keep them in the glovebox). I also have the original keys. The vehicle was purchased new from Saab Country in Scottsville, NY. Apparently, a famous photographer owned it and rarely drove it.Owner #2 resided in CA and provided me with maintenance records during his ownership. The car came with up to date CA licensing showing it passed smog recently. I believe I'm owner #3. I have the original books/owners manual/etc. Everything but the window sticker. The vehicle has been driven approximately 14,000 miles between 1/19/2011 and 10/19/2013.During the past 2 years the following work has been completed: New Goodyear tiresClutch flywheel resurfacedpilot bearing/pressure plate/slave cylinder/etc. Clutch master cylinderSynthetic oil - 10W30 A/C converted to R134Coolant flushedNew brakesJ&B Imports in Orange, CA performed the majority of the repairs referenced above. I'm sure you could contact the shop and they'd be familiar with the car.Previous owner offered to put me in contact with the shop, but I was sold after seeing the pictures/talking to the owner. The car runs/drives like you'd expect from a low mileage/well maintained automobile. There's no rust and I didn't detail anything under the hood/undercarriage/etc. You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected at your expense. I'll assist in any way I can if you live outside the area and wish for me to arrange to take the car to a shop for an inspection.I've done my best to accurately describe the vehicle to the best of my ability. All sales final. No warranty either express or implied. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending.Vehicle sold as-is/where-is. Email with any questions. I work long hours, so please have patience in my response time. I'll respond as quickly as possible.Questions are encouraged. If you have requests for a specific picture, please let me know. I took several pictures as the light was messing with my camera (I'm not a photographer) hoping to capture as many details possible.Sorry the pics aren't in any particular order. Good luck and thanks for looking.
