1969 Camaro X44 Barn Find I purchased this car along with a 1966 Impala SS just a few months ago, I really was after the Impala but I needed to take both cars to complete the deal.The previous owner sold me the cars due to health reasons, the gentleman who had the cars kept very good records of both cars, he purchased this Camaro for his daughter in August 23th 1977 with 50.043miles at the time, I believe he got it from the original owner that purchased it locally, I have the original owners Manual and warranty book from Mid-City Chevrolet in Laurel MD, his daughter drove the car till 1981, he then took title in his name at that time , according to his journal and receipt from a local Chevrolet dealer the engine was replaced in 1992 at 113.960 miles with a 5.7 Liter 350 4 bolt main Target Master motor, the transmission was rebuilt at that time as well.The car has 116.972 currently and the last update in his journal was 2006 it appears he was not driving or falling ill around that time. So looks like 21 years go by with just over 3000 miles on the engine and trans rebuild.I also have the complete original engine that came out of the car the numbers on the block is T0919DD, if you win this auction you will need to pick up the motor when you pick up the car, if you want it, not sure why it was changed out. He showed receipts for a repaint and new vinyl roof in 1987The car could use paint and has some rust around the back window just below the chrome molding, vinyl roof is a great shape there is a couple of rust bubbles below back window under the vinyl I believe it can be pulled back and repaired without replacing the vinyl roof, also on the wheel wells, left front door lower corner and other areas, the interior is in good condition, engine runs strong and transmission shifts fine, underneath the car looks to be good as far as I can tell.
