Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on one extremely rare 1961 Autobianchi Bianchina Transformabile. CLEAR NC TITLE. This is arguably the most sought after MICRO-CAR. The car has been disassembled (with exception to the front chassis and steering assy. and pedal assy.) and media blasted. The car has NOT been painted since media blasting. The pictures you see are of bare metal. The original color of the car was light pale green. The best way to describe this is to list what IS there, vs listing everything that is missing. The car is actually very solid for what it is...minus the floor pan of course. The body/frame is in good enough condition for a restoration, as it is mostly all there or most likely for body repair to an existing car. The front end was cut out partially. The nose was cut out then tacked back on to do the cutouts in the trunk area. The car was once powered by a VW drivetrain, hence the cuts at the outer spring cups. The original control arm mounts are present and unmolested. TONS OF PHOTOS AT BOTTOM OF LISTING. CLICK ON THE LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOSTING PAGE. I HAVE THE PARTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LISTING. Hood, engine cover, doors with glass, windshield, top frame, tail lights, rear bumperettes (cracked), headlight assys, license plate lights and wiper assy. I will be listing them soon, feel free to inquire. Pics of parts are at bottom of photo pages. Here is a list of what is included in this auction: BODY ONLY. PICTURES SHOW FRONT SUSPENSION BUT THE FRONT SUSPENSION IS NOT INCLUDED, NOR IS: Pedal assy, steering box, steering column, brake master cylinder. This could be restored by the resourceful and adventurous, the rear control arms and wheels I have sourced and are available as well as complete drivetrain. Otherwise it would make an excellent parts car for one performing a restoration of one of these most sought after micro-cars. The third option would be a killer, but questionable, due to the rarity of these cars, all FIAT hot rod. I'm thinking an 850 engine and trans, possibly a twin cam 124 engine for the craziest. It would be a blast to drive. I know a little of the history of this car. The fellow I got it from got it many years ago (25 years?) when he was around 9 years old from a guy here in NC. His father bought it for him to one day drive and play with. At this time the car was running on the VW drive train. The reasons for taking off the road are unknown, but it was media blasted a few years ago and placed in dry storage. I can assist with tracking down previous owners, etc.. for a fee if interested. The name of the guy who sold it with the VW drivetrain is known as well as his old address. There are previous title numbers available also, although it is hard to get that info due to privacy laws. One will need to plan the transport/shipping of this carefully due to the raw exposed metal. Please make arrangements accordingly, checking weather, etc... I advise covered transport to eliminate these issues, but a weather plan would still be in order just to be safe, as loading could be a source of in-climate conditions. OK, here is the stuff I have to state because of all the idiots of the world... IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!! BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. I can assist with delivery within 150 miles, for a fee. PAYMENT IS DUE 7 DAYS FROM AUCTION END. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 DAYS OF AUCTION END. A STORAGE FEE OF $25/DAY WILL BE APPLIED FOR EVERY DAY THEREAFTER. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks and good luck!
