1982 HONDA MB5 MB50 50cc 2-Stroke 2k Original Miles Rare - Outstanding Condition!! Imported by Honda for just one year, the MB5 has developed a cult following worldwide. I've owned this cool little MB5 for many years where it's spent most of it's life in storage. I purchased the bike with about 1000 miles from an owner who kept it in his living room. My younger brother rode it for one summer and I rode it for another in the late 80's. This Honda has been properly stored, started and ridden a few times a year and was recently given a fresh update front to back. The bike has 2054 original miles! I recently: flushed all the fluids, installed AMSOIL injector oil, changed the engine oil with Mobil 1, bled the brakes, installed a new gel battery, rebuilt the carburetor, tuned it up with a new NGK plug and factory foam air filter, replaced the original tires & tubes with new IRC's, lubricated everything and took it for a shake down ride. There is no rust inside the tank, I always stored it full of stabilized fuel, fogged the cylinder with light oil and removed the battery. Includes original tool kit and owner manual. The bike starts first kick, brakes hard, runs and handles excellent. It will be real hard to let this one go but I am starting a business and need to cut back on the toys. This was an impressive offering from Honda back in '82. Noted for it's: twin spar frame, laid-down shocks, three piece Comstar wheels, disc brake, 10,500 RPM screaming two-stoke engine with 5 speed manual transmission, comfortable riding position and great fuel economy. A great example of Honda's brilliant engineering. It's an absolute blast to ride and will do about 55mph on a flat road. This is titled as a Motorcycle in New York State and requires a license. Incredible find, may be the nicest one available for sale anywhere! One turn signal lens cracked, a few scuffs to the rear plastic. The only non-stock item is the Answer drag bars. I will include the original handle bars and even the original tires (which are cracked from age). Overall Near Mint condition. While not perfect, it would be hard to find a nicer one. I prefer local pick-up but will be helpful in shipping the bike - with the understanding that the buyer assumes all responsibility for shipment. I'm located just outside Binghamton, New York about 20 minutes from Rts. 81 and 86. PayPal payment strongly preferred but I will take cash upon delivery. I will sell internationally but the buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping and import/customs obligations. Please bookmark my store, I will be selling my 25 plus year collection of: vintage toys, model kits, diecast cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, slot cars, tin litho, cereal and fast food premiums, advertising items, Sun and Auburn rubber, hard plastic and dime store toys, and many other boomer items. I have 1000’s of items that will take time to list and sell so check-in often. I BUY OLD TOYS, CASH FOR YOUR COLLECTION! Please email me if you are interested in selling to a fair and honest buyer. My Condition Guidelines, important please read! In my 25 years of collecting, I’ve learned that condition grading is very subjective. My grading system follows many known guidelines and is an attempt to make grading objective. I grade all items using the same criteria; the item graded first using the scale below. Boxes or packages will be described but not graded. That said, please study the pictures and ask questions prior to bidding. A word on “Mint/ C-10” items – Mint items are the same as would be found in a store when purchased. Since many toys are mass produced and shipped around the world, they may not be “perfect” even when sold new. I only use the “Mint - like new” top grade when an item is as purchased and may not be “perfect”. I will add “plus or minus” or “.5” to a grade when an item doesn’t fit cleanly into any one grade category. Mint C-10 Like new condition Near Mint C-9 Appears like new with minor flaws, chips or scratches Excellent C-8 Minimal wear, some flaws, chips, rubs or scratches Very Good C-7 Used/played with, has noticeable flaws, several marks Good C-6 Well used, considerable wear and flaws but collectible Fair C-5 Rough condition, for restoration, parts or filler Shipping. I ship quickly and pack carefully. I combine shipping on most items. Items will be wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in durable boxes in most cases. I make every attempt to ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. I use the USPS for most items and UPS for larger and heavier items. Express shipping is available upon your request. International buyers. I ship to most countries using USPS First Class International. Please feel free to request a shipping quote prior to bidding. Duties and customs are the buyer’s responsibility. Shipping cost will be calculated at end of auction once your zip code or shipping zone is obtained. Shipping and handling will be at actual cost and includes the cost of packaging materials. Local pickup is accepted, payment due upon pick up. Payment. PayPal preferred. I encourage you to be an informed buyer, I'm happy to answer any questions. Thanks for looking!
