Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1978 Mustang II Ghia. Car is really pretty, always draws a crowd. Very comfortable to drive with automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, and luxury interior. Ghias came with woodgrain dash and trim (plastic of course!), lots of sound insulation, nicer seats, vinyl top, opera windows, and other things. The car is a survior, with newer paint. Engine is surprisingly powerful, I had always heard these cars were slow, but it is a v8 pulling a small car around. The interior appears to be all original. Car has full instrumentation, tach, overhead console with swivel map light, full lengh console, dual remote sport mirrors, brand new Michelin tires, AC, factory clock which doesn't work, AMFMCD, intermittent wipers. I went through the engine, tuned it up, replaced all fluids, hoses, belts, etc. I also replaced the shocks. Car handles very well, rack and pinon steering and sway bars are standard on them. AC blows cold. Just inspected last week and has new tags. I also replaced the valve stem seals. Cons- Heater core is bad, I rerouted the hose. The gas tank may leak if you overfill it. The v8's came with a 4 gallon aux. tank mounted above the std tank for more range. The easy fix is to put the std filler hose in, but I like the extra tank. It can be sealed easily, I just haven't done it. Pros- The car is really pretty, in excellent shape. When you sit in it, it still feels original. It has the rare lower front fascia, most cars are missing those. It has NO rust at all, very rare in these cars. My 1969 Mustang doesn't draw the attention this one does, there are just none on the road any more. I have it insured for $100 a year, $7500 value and 500k liability. They are cheap to buy, maintain, and insure, and will go up in value. It is very hard to find one that isn't trashed, modified, rusty, or in need of restoration. Finding one in good shape, with good color combos, and no rust, is reallly tough. This is not a project car, it is a complete, really nice example. Mileage may change a bit as I am driving the car. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I may sell the item locally. Thank you for looking!
