Update! new cluster is in and Youtube walkaround and drive video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FEEL_MLJAE Take note, I used a point and shoot camera to shoot the Video, which don't have the best audio, they seem to amplify higher pitched sounds, the cars secondary noises are not this overpowering in person. Car is a very good shape driver Corvette. It has 95k original with a automatic transmission, no leaks period. Original car, no paintwork that I can find, no mods, all factory under the hood, no wire splices vacuum line repairs/re routing removed emissions components etc, only non factory style parts under the hood are a red dist cap and red plug wires from the recent tune up, and the brake booster. Don't know if the exhaust is original but it is a factory system. A/C is really cold. Seats were recently re-done. I don't want to say the Blue interior is rare, but it is definitely hard to find, especially in a car this shape, this is the only one out of 82 84-89's on ebay right now, and no longer available after 89. The issues with interior are the driver door panel top trim is missing, have not been able to track one down, and the rear carpet has a couple wear spots. It is getting harder and harder to find these untouched other than needed upkeep and repair. Oil just changed.Bose stereo does work, but when on it pops and such as old Bose does, it is constant does not increase with volume. Basically needs new amps. You can do one of three things:Turn it up and drown it out.Replace the amps, or if your good with electronics and a solder gun the amps need new capacitors..replace entire music system. In the spirit of originality and to keep the car price lower I will let the new owner decide which route to go.No damage or scratches, the clear coat on the front and rear bumper is thinned out, typical as the bumper paint had an anti flex agent added that made it susceptible to sun fade. Less than typical rock chips. The Clusters in these tend to be problematic, after all it is 25 years old, so I have a newly rebuilt one just installed 10/2/13. Drives very nice, has newer tires. Not a trailer queen but damn nice for a 25 year old about to turn antique car. Nice car to enjoy with the targa top down, that if continued to be taken care of can be passed down. Please put it in a garage and don't paint it.Early C4's have hit the bottom of their depreciation cycle, decent one's have slowly started to go up in value. Some sellers try to tell you that you will double your money in 3 years or so, not true but you should get a little more for it or at least break even, you can't say that about any newer car. Other similar cars are listed at 8k plus. Think about it, these are going away, you used to see several C4's a day on the road around here, now you may see a couple a month. So many are gone or past the point of no return, I've personally parted out about 15 of them and there are Corvette salvage yards with dozens of these.Jump in and drive condition, nothing needed for quite some time. No reserve auction and starting at a laughable 4,600.00 Check out the other Vettes on Ebay, either the mystery reserve is way to high or the starting bid is ridiculous, Very few actually sell, this is posted to sell. Payment to be made in cash if you insist on cashiers check it has to be off a local to me institution, but I really hate checks, title handed over at same time. No warranties expressed or implied sold as is where is. If you want to fly in and drive out I will pick you up from Dulles (IAD) for free. I reserve the right to end auction due to local sale. I will not sell it for less than ,minimum bid no matter the outcome. Full payment due within 10 days of auctions end, no deposit required when fully paying in the 10 days.
