Relisted due to a non-paying bidder. Please do not bid if you do not plan to complete the transaction. I'm selling my BMW 740iL with slightly less than 130,000 miles. Always maintained by a certified BMW mechanic while I owned it. Oil changed every 7500 miles with BMW synthetic oil. All scheduled services performed on schedule. Brand new set of Continental tires. Minor damage on front bumper cover as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, timing chain broke and I simply do not have the time or desire to repair it. No attempt has been made to dismantle or remove or repair the timing chain. The engine remains intact. I cannot tell you if only the timing chain broke or if other problems may have been caused by the failure since I have not performed ANY disassembly. My mechanic diagnosed the failure, but based on the way it failed (ran rough like out of time for a while, steadily getting worse until I heard a noise from the front of the engine in the area of the chain, and then it just quit) I would agree with that diagnosis. Since I have not disassembled the engine, I cannot tell you what the repair cost is. I've included lots of pics. If you need to see something else, let me know and I'll see if I can get you the info. I also have a shop manual that, if interested, I will sell with the car for an additional $75. Otherwise, I plan to list it separately. This vehicle is being sold for repair or parts only. It does not run. Will have to be towed from my property.
