Vehicle Detail

2006 K1200S *22,341k miles, adult-owned and ridden, never raced or taken to the track *ABS (servo assisted), ESA, Heated Grips, BMW computer option *Almost new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart tires, correct factory size *Almost new EBC Double-H brake pads in front, BMW factory pads on rear *Leo Vince Factory SBK Slip-on, titanium w/ Carbon end cap and I have the dB insert, do not have factory exhaust pipe *Bike has always been charged using a Deltran Supersmart Battery Tender Jr., which comes with the bike. I am the second owner (bought with just over 11k), serviced at 12k and 18k, I don't have the records. Windshield has been painted on the underside with translucent black paint (poor man's tint) and it doesn't look too bad Cosmetic issues One of the plastic intake "snorkels" was the victim of my ex-wife's parrot, and there are some bite marks on the very end. You can't see this unless you're looking for it. It doesn't affect anything, and most aftermarket air filter kits call for the removal of these snorkels anyways. There is a small round scratch on the Left side of the fairing where the bike was tipped over in the garage by my ex-wife. There was no damage other than that small scratch. Other than that one time, the bike has never been crashed, wrecked, dropped or otherwise involved in any kind of accident. It was just tipped over in my garage one time. Also, there is a small roundish hole/crack in the seat, also courtesy of my ex-wife dropping "something" on it in the garage. Mechanical Issues The fuel gauge on the computer is not accurate. This is due to the fuel sensor in the tank having gone bad. This is a known issue with all BMW motorcycles using this particular fuel sensor, and once replaced with a new factory unit, they have been known to go bad again due to a not-so-great design. I use my trip meter to monitor how much gas I have. Gear: All of the below will come with the bike if you want it, included in the selling price. If you're a new rider or an old(er) one, this is pretty much everything you need to get out and ride, assuming you wear these sizes. If not, you could turn around and sell it all. Tourmaster Saber blue/black jacket size Medium, lightly used, washed, pads come in jacket ($159.00 new) -This jacket has a removable insulating liner (zip in) and is waterproof. AGV Sport mesh riding jacket blue/black, no liner, pads come in jacket, one of the forearm "cinch" straps doesn't snap anymore ($70.00 new) Shift Racing street jeans/riding jeans size 34 waist 32 inseam. Kevlar inserts in backside and knee/shin area, no pads. I've worn these, but they are in great condition and clean with no holes or heavy wear. ($100.00 new) Shift Racing riding boots, black, casual style, these have been worn but have some life left. Size 11 M. ($100.00 new) Sidi Vertebra black race/sport touring boots size 11 M, almost no wear, excellent condition ($250.00 new, older/discontinued model) Alpinestars SP-3 leather gloves size Medium, black/blue/white, normal wear ($60.00 new) Luggage: *Nelson-Rigg Silver Streak saddle bags, they show some wear and I've cut some of the "padding" off to fit the bike's contours a little better, but they are nice bags and in good condition and all the pieces/parts to mount these are included ($100.00 new) *BMW soft top case: this is the smaller of the two cases BMW sells. The zipper pull tabs broke a while back, so I have pieces of Amsteel line there now for the pulls. All the straps/etc. to mount these are included ($150.00 new) *Tourmaster blue magnetic tank bag…will not work with this bike since it is magnetic (used on a previous bike) Helmets: Arai Quantum f helmet, black, size L -This is an older helmet, shows significant wear inside and out -This helmet has been dropped and is long past the age at which you should replace your helmet. If you don't want it, I'll toss it. *KBC VR-1 Helmet size Medium with white/gold/black tribal design, some cosmetic wear, great condition -This helmet has never been dropped and is less than 5 years old Bottom Line: KBB Retail - $8585.00 ($7605.00 base + 575.00 ABS + 405.00 ESA) KBB Trade-in - $5995.00 ($5330.00 base + 390.00 ABS + 275.00 ESA) NADA LOW Retail - $7,053.00 (including ABS, performance street exhaust, full fairing) NADA Avg Retail - $9289.00 The bidding starts at $5500.00 with NO RESERVE, all gear included. This would be a great deal just for the bike itself. On Sep-22-13 at 19:28:57 PDT, seller added the following information:*Note to interested buyers: I don't have to sell this bike bad enough to go any lower than $5500.00. That's a low price as it is and if it doesn't sell, I'll just enjoy it for a little while longer until it does. Thanks for looking!
