THIS IS NOW A NO RESERVE AUCTION!! SECOND BID (OR 12,500) WILL BE A WINNING BID OR JUST BUY IT NOW... WE'VE LOWERED THE BUY IT NOW FROM $17995 TO $13995 FOR AN ABSOLUTE QUICK AND FINAL SALE.. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS WHATSOEVER PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU BID, IF NOT, YOUR BID IS BINDING AND THE FINAL BID WILL WIN.... You are bidding on a 1972 Corvette Stingray 350 small block, numbers matching, fully documented piece of American history. Purchased from the original owner in the winter of 1996 (however, he had sold it prior to repurchasing it after relocating it), this Corvette is ready to ride. Over the last 18 years this Corvette has been properly maintained in great condition. The coveted original steel bumpers (last year for front and rear steel bumpers) are in excellent condition. The engine is blue-printed and fully restored by Conrad Racing in Houston, Tx….she’s ready for a compassionate new owner to run her hard and show her off. The interior dash shows no signs of cracking and has been well taken care of. This Corvette is complete with full documentation of all year to date owners. My father worked for Chevrolet Dealer for many years as a new car sales manager. Born and bred a Chevrolet fan, we purchased this vehicle as a keep sake my senior year in high school. After having various work done on the car….engine blue printed, repainted Ontario Orange (w/ a hint a metallic flakes), new intake manifold, new carburetor (no more Quadrajet), etc….I drove this car for many years as a weekend and date car. She definitely turns head and gets thumbs from just about anyone with a heartbeat. After college, I found myself driving this car less and less, till the point that she began to sit in the garage more and more. It’s now time to part ways and allow someone to take this Corvette to the next level. Although it’s a difficult decision, I’m willing to part ways knowing someone will take the time and care to bring her back to full glory. Not selling for the money, so if you plan to use her parts, keep looking elsewhere. What’s she’s good at? She basically has a brand new engine with less than 5,000 miles. We paid over $5,000 to have the engine blue-printed and perfectly balanced to original specs (as close as possible). The engine and tranny are solid. People who have driven this car claim it’s one the best riding Vette’s they’ve been in. She rides smooth. The dash is in great shape. We’ve taken great care to keep her hidden from the sun when not in use. She’s got all of her original emblems with good looking taillights. What she’ll ask of you? She needs her leather seats redone. Not unusual for a 40+ year old car. A good leather company can reupholster the seats back to near mint condition. She also needs a good tune up. Nothing major, probably more just of a month’s worth of solid driving than anything, but she runs a little rich and could use some tweaking. She has factory A/C, but you’ll probably want to recharge the system. I really only drove her consistently in the spring and fall and never used the A/C anyway (that’s what the T-Tops are for). But the A/C blows cool, starts to get cold after a good run on the highway but needs some tweaking. What you’ll enjoy…with little investment you’ll have a weekend driver ready to turn heads. With some good intentions, you can fully restore this beauty to a show car and truly own a piece of American history. She was originally purchased in March of 1972 for $5525 from Sport Chevrolet in Silver Springs, Md. Her VIN is 1Z37K2S523830. What I'll offer... An incredible car at an awesome price!! Please call and speak to my father Charlie or brother Carlos with any questions, concerns or to set up an appt. to test drive at 281-445-1800 Mon-Sat 10a-5p. My reserve is considerably lower than the "Buy it Now" but bid it to win it, don't let this piece of True American History pass you by!!
