I am selling my 1979 Super Beetle Convertible. The car runs great. It has a 1600 cc engine and engine rebuilt about 1,500 miles ago. Fuel injection has been converted to carburetor. Nice interior, upholstery, exterior and top is in good condition. Good tires and body is in great condition. It is super fun to drive and you always get looks driving it down the road. *Please read* As you can see in the photos, there are some wires hanging down near the fuse box. I never got around to wiring but the car might could use a re-wire. For instance, every now and then the car's windshield wipers will turn on then right back off (loose or short wire). Also, the last time I drove at night I turned the headlights on and a few minutes later the car died (like the car was out of gas). I got some gas for the car but I noticed it was nearly full. I turned off the lights and the car drove fine the rest of the way (light turned on made fuel pump go off?). Anyways, I wanted the buyer to be aware of this issue. Overall it is a great and fun car! I will be happy to answer any questions that you might have.
