Offered here is a rare 1970 AMC Mark Donohue edition Javelin SST....only 2,501 built....this is a 390, 4 speed car by the numbers and has been off the road since 1982. Unusual Commodore Blue with blue interior....believed to be a go pack with power disc brakes (all there) and a 3.54 twin grip (posi) rearend....Appears to be 75-80% original paint (to me) with the only paint work I see is to the driver rear quarter panel and drivers door and pass side door and front fender (stripes on both sides are original from day 1 as far as I can tell)....Car is rusty (Buffalo/Rochester NY car) and comes just as seen (with many missing parts) and needs complete restoration....Still intact is the rear spoiler with a few breaks (have 2 corner pieces for repair), a nice ram air hood, an original set of 4 magnum 500 wheels (only 2 centers and 2 trim rings), 140 speedo and 8000 tach and more....looks like in the early to mid 80's, car was parked and stripped of many parts, unfortunately many of which are now long gone....I acquired this a short time ago as I am I diehard AMC guy and absolutely love the 70 Javelins and this being a Donohue I felt it to be the holy grail!!....Realizing I have other AMC projects (a Rebel Machine, a SC/Rambler among others) I've had for years and that are a little farther ahead then this car, reality has set in and I have decided it is time to let this go to someone else....Worth more in parts than my opening bid in my opinion, but definitely restorable and too rare to part out!!....Comes with an old NY registration/title....Please feel free to call or e-mail any and all questions....phone calls are best and often will provide faster response.....Winning bidder to deposit $500 via paypal within 48 hours of auction end (no exceptions) and balance due within 10 days and car to be removed within 30 days of auction end.
