Idaho. It was a gift to the nephew of the original owner. The bike had sat for a long time in the shed but was clean and well preserved. I brought the bike back to the shop and slowly brought it back to life. It has not been restored but has been preserved. It has its share of scratches and sun- faded paint, but is a joy to look at and runs well. It starts every time on the first kick, shifts thru its 3 speeds very positively up and down and brakes perfectly. The headlight is new and the high and low beam works fine. The rear brake running light works. The horn is not currently working but I have ordered a correct one thru Ebay and it will be installed for the next owner. The seat was recovered before I obtained the bike and is like new with no rips or tears and sits perfectly. (See photos) The exhaust pipe has no rust and is beautiful to look at. It is missing the baffle, which makes the little bike sound great! This bike was one of the earliest trail models from Honda and with its up swept pipe is great for on or off road. It comes with the larger off road sprocket that bolts on to the smaller street sprocket in 10 minutes. With the larger trail sprocket on you could climb a tree if you had the traction! (See Photos) Following is a list of what I have done to preserve this bike and make it ready for the next owner: 1) Replace spark plug2) Change oil3) Adjust valves and replace point set and adjust4) Replace ignition coil and battery5) Replace and rebuild carburetor and replace main jet with a correct one6) Clean brake drums and replace brakes shoes with new ones7) Replace broken brake levers with correct levers8) Add a correct Honda mirror9) Replace headlight, dash bulbs and tail light and clean wiring connectors10) Replace front and back tires, tubes and wheel straps with new11) Clean and lubricate chain and adjust12) Clean and reseal gas tank with “Crème” gas tank sealer and replace old fuel lines and clips with new ones13) Replace worn foot peg rubbers with new, correct Honda replacements14) Replace front brake and speedometer cables15) Remove and clean and lubricate front shocks and re-install16) De-grease and clean and detail the bike from top to bottom17) Obtained a clean and clear title for the bike so I could ride it on the street and so You can too! This little bike is ready for you to take camping or ride to the post office as I do, or repaint and take to the next level as a museum piece.
