Vehicle Detail
Welcome to the listing for my awesome 1999 Ford F-350 Superduty Crew Cab 4WD Dually. The reserve on this truck is set at the trade-in (wholesale) value for a truck in similar condition. I'm not GIVING this truck away, but this is as cheap as you'll ever get one with the same options and in similar condition. I have a clear title to this vehicle with no loans/liens. This has been my truck and 2nd vehicle for about 10 years now. It has always been a faithful vehicle for me, and has provided heavy duty hauling and towing whenever I needed it. I've bought a light duty pickup lately to replace it and consolidate vehicles, as I do not need the capability in this truck any more. In all honesty this truck has sat in the driveway or carport more than it has been driven since I've owned it. I bought it with around 102,000 miles on it, and I've added only about 17,000 miles over the last 10 years if that tells you anything. In other words I've driven this truck sparingly, and cared for it very well since I've owned it. This truck is in good overall condition both by appearance and mechanically. There are a few known flaws as I've tried to detail below. Please inspect the pictures carefully for condition, and personal inspections are welcome. The truck has a few flaws as you'd expect from a 14 year old vehicle. It has 3 tears in the back leather seat bottom. The remaining leather is somewhat faded and worn in places. The carpet is dirty and stained but should clean up. Only 2 of the 4 original floor mats are included. The master window switch bezel has a broken clip and moves around (could be glued or replaced). The remaining interior trim is in pretty good shape. It has a small spot on the top of the front passenger door where the paint is slightly lifting (see pictures - professionally repaired damage was from a tree limb several years ago btw). The hood has a few minor dents from hail, and a couple of impressions from a dumb teenage kid that once stepped on it. I know of one rock ding in the door, and a few minor scratches throughout. There is some minor flash rust here and there (like on the frame or on nicks in the bed floor), but this is overall a very rust free vehicle. No body rust is apparent anywhere. Overall the body and paint are in VERY VERY good condition for a 1999 model. The engine starts and runs well. Never much problem there. While I've had it I've given it a full set of spark plugs, patched a PCV hose, replaced and ABS sensor, replaced the 4x4 hub vacuum actuation hoses (and oil changes of course), but that is about it. The transmission shifts smooth and strong. No smoke, knocking, leaking, or any other bad behavior from the power train. A/C blows nice and cold and refrigerant has never leaked on me. I recently replaced the rear outboard wheel seals, changed the rear brake pads, and changed the rear diff fluid (something that every owner of a super-duty must do sooner or later). The tires all have lots of tread. The two front tires are basically new. An alignment was performed when I got the front tires. The rear tires have probably 80% tread, but the outer tires show signs of deterioration and minor cracking from sun and ozone deterioration. Overall the tires are in good shape. I've tried to describe this vehicle as accurately as I can recall it, but there may be minor things I've forgotten. Inspections are welcome, and please write with any questions you may have. This is a 14 year old vehicle!!!! Although it is in REALLY REALLY good condition for a truck that age, it does have minor issues and may develop more issues in the future - especially with heavier and more frequent use. I do feel confident to say that this truck was great for me and should be a great truck for you too. Payment is due IMMEDIATELY following auction close, and the vehicle may not be removed nor title transferred until your payment has cleared the bank. Wire bank transfers (and of course CASH) clear immediately. Any other form of payment must clear the bank (sometimes several days). Thank you for your interest, and be sure to check out my other items! On Aug-06-13 at 18:54:56 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: NEW REAR TIRES!!! After one of the rear tires showed signs of a slow leak last week, I decided to replace all 4 rear tires with brand new Firestone Transforce AT tires. I also gave the truck a fresh oil and filter change. That's a $800 value now included with the price of the truck. This truck is ready to roll with confidence. That makes all four rear tires brand new, and the matching front tires have nearly new tread.
