Listed for sale: this fully-loaded Reflex Silver 2004 R32 is likely the most pristine example currently listed for sale in the United States. With only 28,000 miles and ZERO modifications ever performed, this one-owner R32 is suitable for an investment car or daily transport if the owner chooses to enjoy it. This car was never once driven in winter road conditions and was exclusively used from the months of May to October since I purchased the car from the Volkswagen of America dealership new in 2004. Arguably the best Volkswagen ever made, this 1 of 5,000 factory race car will surely hold its value given it's combination of ultra-low production numbers, manual six-speed gearbox, 4-Motion all-wheel drive and the legendary 3.2L DOHC 24v powerplant derived from the $100,000 Phaeton Sedan. The exterior of this R32 is clad in Volkswagen's Reflex Silver Metallic and the paint quality is exceptional. As this car was always garaged, all panels and surfaces exhibit a deep gloss and the metallic silver reflects sunlight brilliantly. The exterior condition of this car is unmatched by any 2004 R32 I have ever seen. Period. The 18' wheels are coated in the same factory applied Reflex Silver and are in great condition at all four corners. All glass and mirrors are perfect with no hazing or scratches of any kind. All four tires are brand new. Spare key is unused and is included with valet key. The original window sticker will be included with the vehicle as well, and will prove invaluable if the vehicle ever comes up for sale as a collector car. The interior of this car is nothing short of factory perfect. The 2004 R32 had only one option (Heated Konig leather racing seats) and this vehicle has them. As the car has 28,000 miles and since I rarely carried passengers, the leather interior shows like brand new. The carpet and floor mats are in equally impressive shape. I even still have the commemorative R32 steel pen and leather owner's binder. As do all R32's, this car has the Monsoon 8 speaker stereo and it provides premium quality audio. Tobacco use never allowed in car, of course. The drive train of this vehicle is perfect as well. Mobil 1 Full-Synthetic was used at all recommended intervals and it drives exactly as a new car would. While this car was never raced, in normal driving conditions throttle response is crisp and powerful and the 4- Motion AWD provided tremendous grip while maintaining excellent road manners. Unlike the Lancer EVOs and Subaru STIs of it's day this car was a German-engineered gentleman's racer.
