Vehicle Detail
1972 Ford Mustang Convertible ‘H’ code 351 Cleveland 2bbl Please take the time to read this entire description if you're interested in bidding! True-dual exhaust installed Nov 2010, Ram-Air “NASA” Hood (Hood only--not the Ram Air snorkel) New Plugs and Wires New Distributor New Electronic Ignition New Battery OK body. Needs a new top—but the rear panel and glass are in good condition and the top does function-- it’s just time to replace it. This is a PROJECT CAR that needs a little work! Please do not expect show-quality perfection. The pictures look nice—and it does look absolutely great from a few feet away; gets plenty of positive attention, but, there are blemishes in the paint and close inspection reveals obvious imperfections. HOWEVER—it runs and drives nice and handles really well! It is most definitely FUN to drive! Hey-It is, after all, a convertible! Smooth shifting automatic (I think FMX) transmission. So you could drive it while fixing it up. I CANNOT guarantee that: It hasn’t been in an accident (common question--I just don't know.) The numbers match—pretty sure they don’t.The odometer reading even remotely reflects actual mileage. I think that's on the engine rebuild. Sold as-is; absolutely no promises, warrantee or guarantees of any kind! BONUS: Includes an original owner’s manual and an original mint condition ‘72 Mustang marketing brochure. Also includes shop manual for 64-73 Mustangs (not Ford manual but aftermarket). One last thing—the TX safety inspection is good through January of 2014!! Note: The November 2011 issue of Hemmings Motor News had a feature article on ‘71-‘73 Mustangs. They listed the value of 72 Mustang Convertibles as: Low: $7500 Average: $15,500 High: $33,500 IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTICE: YOU are 100% responsible for picking up the car or having it shipped to your location. If you are within an hour of the DFW Metroplex you could probably drive it home. However—be aware the tags are NOT transferable so they will be removed. Otherwise you should probably have it shipped. That will be at YOUR expense and you must arrange the logistics. I will be happy to meet a shipping truck nearby but it must be in the local area. DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS!! Deposit Payment via PayPal protects us both and also provides documentation that the car is yours should you win the auction and pay. The remainder will need to be sent via bank transfer and we can work out those details. I have tried to be as open and transparent as possible—if you have any questions or concerns PLEASE ask prior to bidding, I am more than happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Remember—a bid is a contract to buy. Thank you very much for taking the time to read all of this—Blessings to you!
