This Beetle is in great condition. I bought it from the original owner in June 2011 and used it for about 8 months as a daily driver (roughly 75 - 100 miles per week on it). It is mechanically sound and I still drive it occasionally as a "grocery-getter." The original engine was replaced in 2003 with a custom MOFOCO CE161 "Turn key" engine. http://www.mofoco.com/item/Dual_Port_For_Bug_Ghia_Thing_Ce161/248/c70. The rebuild included a conversion to a 12V electrical system with a new starter and 7" halogen conversion kit. The clutch was also replaced at that time. This car starts with the first turn of the key and drives very smooth. All receipts from engine work and upgrades are available with purchase. The paint job is not showroom quality but it looks nice. There are no major cosmetic damage and the body is dent and rust free. All chrome trim, bumpers, and door handles are original and only have minor evidence of surface rust. The convertible top and headliner has been recently replaced by the original owner and are in phenomenal shape. The windows (to include the rear window and windshield) are all original and as a result some of the seals are due to be replaced. Additionally, the floor boards have been replaced and the undercarriage is rust free. With reference to the interior, all gauges are in working order. The original radio is still in place but does not work due to the power conversion. Both heater boxes are installed, however, there are no 'heater exchange to body tubes' or heater cable.
